Kiddies are showered and away to bed after reading to me. All school uniforms and bags are out and ready, must decide which coats - I guess anoraks if today is anything to go by...

Can't believe my "little" DD is starting proper school. Just wish her daddy could see her now. I've been fine about this all summer, looking forward to it. But now it's actually here, and I've put them to bed, I can't seem to stop the tears.

Right, I'm off to give my head a shake, it doesn't do to dwell on these things. I'll go empty the DW or something...

(((HUGS))) Bossy - you are doing a great job. She will start school confidently and that's down to you. But have a weep if you want - you're entitled. It's just awful when things don't go to plan. I am sure the Bossydad would be so very, very proud of the Bossy clan.

  • Aghhh - Wednesday is posted and I haven't started Tuesday :rotfl:
  • Work done, dog walked, DSs bedroom done but not his bedding as I have too much other washing to do. Kitchen windows cleaned, worktops done, will wash the floor and cupboard doors in the morning. Stairs hoovered, 2 loads of washing sorted, another load in.

Thanks buns, feeling loads better but still not 100%. Oh and happy birthday for DS tomorrow.

My boy is back at school tomorrow. Better not forget and leave him in bed when I go to work.

Oh and hugs Bossy. Its one of those times that I guess is tinged with sadness for some, for all sorts of reasons, so we should all take a moment to remember that.

Bossy bigs hugs sweetie. I know Miss moo will have a wonderful time, because of all the prep you have done. You are a star but it is fine to feel sad about what is not to be. Hope being sad tonight means you can smile tomorrow.

Hugs to Bossy and Kaz - sorry that you're both missing loved ones today - sometimes sad times creep up unexpectedly :(

Knitting for angel babies is a lovely idea Pigpen. I wish I could knit, but frankly, I suck at it.

Didn't get very far with the bedroom - Tiny took a tumble and split his bottom lip - blood everywhere, so spent the next hour consoling him and was nearly late collecting Small from school. He then asked to make fairy cakes to take in tomorrow, especially for Pip, who apparently likes him :blushing:

Oh bossy Hun, poor you, you're bound to feel emotional, but you're doing such a good job, my hat goes off to you. Allow yourself a little time, and you're allowed to cry sweetie. Your DD will do you both proud. Warm hugs xx
