Urgh... Just done an hour in Steptoe's yard and I'm hot, sweaty and cross. I hate gardening and moving to a house with 1.3 acres wasn't a great idea.
Anyway, got lots swept up, bagged and binned. Moved an incredibly heavy pot to a new location (OK, so I rolled it around the patio until it was in situ) and have just had cheese on toast for lunch with Tiny. I'm looking out of my kitchen window and trying not to despair - there are so many trees and plants I've no idea what they are, that I'm wondering if we will be overrun by triffids before I learn what to cut and what to keep.0 -

It went really well today. DS thinks he's only been there an hour. Taking that as a good sign. Both seem happy and content = mummy happy and content, I've got over my leaking eyes of last night
Cheating tonight - having a quick chat with new hairdresser shortly - only time they could fit me in and I want to get an appointment booked asap. And DS exuded his pe shoes don't fit and he needs some slippers, so we are going shopping at for tea at Mr S cafe. Saves washing up :TBossymoo

I aiten't dead - just haven't been able to think of anything interesting to say.
Anyways, I may or may not post tomorrow and Friday - Mr LW is on leave - and deffo WON'T be around from Saturday to Tuesday, as we're off up to Yorkshire for a few days; we had our "proper" holiday back in March, so we decided on a short break for our wedding anniversary.;)
I'm not planning to take the netbook, so won't be on MSE at all for those few days.
Ben Labrador left yesterday, and the bungalow seems very empty; I did Dys0n up a full cylinder of black dog hairs though.:D
Mr LW has got our suitcase down from the top on the wardrobe (just a 3-night stay so we're only taking one) so I'd better go and find stuff to go in it.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi all,
One of those days. My day off paid stuff so wanting to get enormous amount of stuff done. All that happened was:
Appointment with bank business manager re our account, as apparently we've had the wrong sort of account for six years. Got there and after a lot of messing he was rather embarrassed to tell us they'd dragged us in for an appointment by mistake.
Dog food shopping
Human food shopping
Daily stuff
Then it was school pick up time, then picked car up from garage, then swimming lessons, then tea, then kids bed and here I am, nothing done. How does this happen?
Bossy, glad it all went well today.
dizzy our house has a large garden and I am no gardener. I know nothing. For the first three years I had my head in the sand and just didn't know what to do. The people who had the house before us had more time and knowledge. I have for the past two years been trying to make it easier for me to deal with. More lawn, an area I leave wild (good for butterflies). I feel your pain. I would like a gardener but can't afford it.
LW I too have been henrying up what seems like sackfuls of dog hair. I'm afraid to say my doggy seems to be getting her winter coat0
