Pigpen thanks for the photos, lovely

Nicki - I'd be furious about the pass, how difficult is it to put in the inside of her blazer pocket, the zip one! DS3 only lost his once, on the bus, got it back, he learnt how annoyiing it is!

    Bathroom all cleaned.

DS2 is helping me move the grass stip from the middle of the veg bed to other places. It is exhausting.

Both bus companies rang (1st one gave me the 2nd ones number :D) and M3rseytravel as well. All said nothing here in that name. I checked with latter and they said it'll be a full price pass to get a replacement as she's already had the £5 replacement one. Just added up how much it would cost for her to get a weekly pass instead (which would give her 7 days access to buses) but thats £10 a week so over £100 to the end of term, excluding half term when she's supposed to be away apparently. Obviously paying £5 for the replacement last time wasn't enough of a lesson, so she can pay for this one and the extra bus fare by loosing her pocket money & wages until they're paid for, which means none until after Christmas (due to advances she asked for over the summer) unless she hands over any bonus pocket money she gets.

Right, enough ranting about that now. I need to get lunch, hang washing out, put the next load in, iron my clothes for tonight, and have a shower. I was hoping for a long hot bath to soothe AF but its not going to happen. Can someone please rewind this week so I can try and change events?

Welcome (or is it welcome back?) Lordhightiggythe3rd.
    Great hat, pigpen.
Sorry to hear about the lost bus pass, nicki - so annoying! But there's still time for someone to hand it in - don't buy the replacement too soon, just in case.
... it's DD3s first day at nursery next Monday. She starts her job at a new nursery then, lol it's quite funny that some of the parents have swapped nursery schools for their little ones to follow her,

Well done to your DD, mrs-mp.

Thanks Kaz, but I doubt I'm local to anyone here. Just inside the eastern border of Wales about 15 miles west of Shrewsbury?[/QUOTE]
Less than 2 hours' drive from here, and a lovely area for a day out - PM me if you want a visitor!

We were supposed to be visiting my colleague tomorrow to have a Trustees Meeting and then take her out for a birthday lunch, but she's just emailed to tell me that OFSTED have phoned and are sending inspectors tomorrow to the pre-school of which she is Chair - the staff are having a major panic because they will be inspected under the new common framework, which only started yesterday  Consequently I am under less pressure to finish this set of boxes (not sure if that's a good thing, though!).

Unfortunately it's going to be very difficult to find an alternative date for our meeting as I'm away for most of the next fortnight, deputising for DD and doing the school runs with DGS1+2.

These things are sent to try us....

WMx1 now drying nicely outside, WMx2 nearly ready to join it.

    Lunch next!

    Hello all.

Nicki, I second not buying the replacement pass too soon. I found a kids pass on a dog walk last year so hers could be anywhere and someone might find it in a few days.

I was doing well with flying up till yesterday, some of the kitchen list, rooms of doom sorted but today has been wiped out by some kind of bug. Have only just got up properly and even though I work from home I've not even been able to do that today.

I'm just going to get myself a drink and sit down with the paper.

Here's hoping normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.

You won't believe this. The bus pass was in her blazer pocket (the one where the school badge is) which she "triple checked" and where she "never puts her pass":mad::mad::mad::mad: So I have wasted a good 2 hours if not more today on the phone, tweeting the bus company, trying to work out the cheapest way of her getting to school for the rest of term and when I'd be able to buy the replacement pass. :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall: On the plus side she feels terrible as I insisted she walked home the exact same route she walked last night and look for the pass. Now her feet are "killing her", she's hot, sweaty and needs to have a shower before we go out. Good job tea is basically ready!

Off to sort laundry, put tea out and try to relax a little as I have a headache starting and I need to go and sit in a stuffy sports hall for 2 hours :( On the plus side, at least I'm free to fly or work tomorrow, depending on how I'm feeling.

Sorry for the absence of posts. I was rushed into hospital on Sunday with a very high temperature. It was very scary stuff - on Tuesday I spiked a temp of 39.9.

They never identified what sort of bug it was, but eventually it was nuked by a powerful cocktail of antibiotics.

I am very weak, but relieved to be home.

Looking forward to catching up on the thread after a decent nights sleep - preferably with no snoring, nobody having a telly on all night and without a 94 year old talking to herself all night.
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
