  • :j:j:j Great flying/kondoing weekend. Lots of stuff to CS and furniture rearranged with Outlaws hel.

I did return from the ROD, and it has been used as a bedroom for the first time in about 5 years. Miraculously it too DH about 25mins to clear! Most of it involved putting Army uniforms in storage bags or on hangers. Why I wasn't allowed to do that I don't know, but I don't care. It's done. Now to avoid it getting re-cluttered.

Fly list completed this week. Only a couple of loads of bedding to go through WM and a few DW loads to do.

MIL staying tonight so need to cook properly. When she gets back from seeing my new niece we are going to the W shop for some foodie bits. I can normally only get what I can carry on the bus, but she has a car:T

Did loads of batch cooking as well. Lots for the freezer from Friday nights' takeaway curry. 5 portions of Slow Cooker Beef casserole, and what looks like about 15 portions of Bottom of the fridge mixed vegetable surprise.

Went out for our belated anniversary dinner last night. Delicious food, and excellent company when he wasn't on his mobile responding to colleagues about work:cool:

Mrs LW - Cookie sounds great for you. Definitely see a Docky paw in that. Ozzie sends a welcoming slurp. Does Cookie spell better than Docky?

LW - hope you had a lovely anniversary weekend even if it was dog free. When do you get your next furry visitor.

((((hugs))), spoons and sticks offered as necessary. piggers get to the Dr's (I almost typed vet there:rotfl::rotfl:)

Phew! Minimoos are in bed and kettle is boiled :T

Still feels like lots to do:
    [STRIKE]Empty kitchen bin
Put some of the bags in the car - less to remember in the morning!
Add another towel to swim bag
Make brekkie and lunch pack-up, early start tomorrow [/STRIKE]
    Wash up / [STRIKE]tidy kitchen
Shower, wash and dry hair, find some office clothes...[/STRIKE]
Find my happy head - told DS he was grumpy but now wondering if perhaps it's me???

Will not be up till all hours reading MSE and fb etc.

  • Bottom of the fridge mixed vegetable surprise.

Love this. We have just had hm pizza which is a great excuse to use up all sorts of interesting looking leftovers.

I have just spent 3 hours putting away the food shopping, sorting and putting away the clean washing, making pizza and cleaning the kitchen. OH has been watching telly. I am annoyed about this? Nooo not me.

Valli If I stew apples and freeze them I tend to forget about them. I keep expecting complaints if I make another apple pudding but so far they are wolfing them down. We have had a good crop this year.

I need to spend some time tidying the patio this week. A lot of the bedding plants have gone over and we have some building materials piled up waiting to go to the skip. It looks really awful.

We've got less than a dozen apples on our tree this year - sort of relieved ;) some years I can barely cope with them all...

I'm not washing up. It's stacked neatly - I know it's grotty but I'm bushed. I've got more done today than I expected.

So that's me saying goodnight, not sure if I'll be on during the day tomorrow xx

  • Ah - that Sunday night feeling!

Fresh , line dried bedclothes on bed. Kitchen wiped down after messy sunday dinner cooking and dishwasher humming away in background.

Now for a glass of wine and tv before bed!

Still need to make up the bed, but other than that, I've done the same. Kitchen looks great (it looked like a bomb site an hour ago!)

Off to check on next weeks list and then to bed.

    Sleep well all.

  • Thanks to Natty for this week's thread and to Bossy for last week's thread.

Apologies I disappeared last week but parents were visiting Thursday to Sunday and Thursday was a bit of a disaster - we had a power cut overnight so didn't have time to do all my jobs first thing before taking the cats to the vets (thankfully the only part of the day that went well - other than a lot of meowing on the walk down the street, they behaved themselves impeccably). Then I was on my last job before my parents arrived - cleaning the litter trays - took the bag of old litter out to the bin, the door shut behind me and I was locked out with no phone or money or anything! Had to wait until my parents arrived to ring husband and get him to come home early.

Thankfully the rest of the weekend went OK - we went out for dinner on Friday, met up with my auntie and uncle for a nice lunch on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend finishing off a few bits of DIY and building furniture. Frustratingly Ikea only brought us two-thirds of the wardrobe we ordered so it puts my plan to sort out the shed on hold, but at least it's getting there...

I have a day off from paid stuff today so am going to try and use it to get things done round the house. Here goes:

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean windows and all glass.. including the tv screen
Clear the mantel and only put back the items which are supposed to be there.. and that doesn't include letters, keys or other treasure!
    Level Three
    Wipe and water plants
Put all your hotspots in one pile and work your way through it..
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself

    Extra Mission:
Have a bit of a tidy in the cupboard under the stairs.
Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it.. Do you need your winter curtains up yet?

    My list for today
    S&S kitchen
    S&S bathroom
Take cardboard to recycling centre at Sainsbury's
    Get cat litter from Sainsbury's
    Change cat litter trays
Washing machine x 1 (at least!)
Put away washing on airer and washing line
    Cancel laptop insurance
Ring mobile phone company to change account direct debit is paid from
    Practise Italian
Write (at least) one blog post
Take photos for a blog post

I might go up to Croydon to get myself out of the house as well, but we'll see how everything else goes first. Right then, time to get dressed...
