Piggers, I have had many a nagging conversation with my mum, trying to persuade her she may need to see a dentist as she hasn't for about thirty years and teeth are now falling out. She looked like Nanny McPhee for a while, until the front tooth dropped out.
I will book an appointment at the quacks this week if you will0 -

easier said than done.. we already have 3 appointments this week plus Monday and Tuesday OH is at college so I have 3 school runs.. it'll have to wait until next week now.... see this is another reason I never get sorted.. its non-stop.. DS3 has weekly psychologist appointments, we have dentist and college and the cat needs a check up at the vet.. a day off would be lovely!
My daughter spent 2 pregnancies with never-ending sickness so a few of her teeth are in bad shape.. she needs a root canal but is too scared after everyone fed her horror stories..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hello all
Not a huge amount of flying done here this week as other things got in the way, mainly just bathroom and kitchen basics done and washing basket under control (just have to get the 'avalache risk' of clean stuff out of the airing cupboard and put it away...) so the coming week is going to be a concentrated effort before things get too bad.
Did manage to get 2 vertical blinds clean (the bedroom ones got a bit yucky with black mould at the bottom) so put them in the bath with some bio powder and left them to soak. Bit of a faff to get them rinsed and out again but sorted and much better now. Also washed the curtains so nice and fresh. Got to do the same for my room this week while the weather is still warm enough. At least that'll be off my big to do list at last.
I hope nobody minds me adding to the calls for Piggers, Biscuit and anyone else putting off making Dr's appointments etc PLEASE DO IT, if you can't function properly due to pain or illness all those other things you have to do - keeping the family fed, taking them to appts etc WON'T get done if you can't do them. You are just as important as everyone else so you owe it to them and yourself to look after yourself. Sorry but it's important.
Right, cup of coffee and some breakfast needed.

Morning all. I second Aimingforbetter - anyone suffering should go to the quack, easier said than done I know.
Yesterday I went to bowls and had fun, but couldn't find the GUAG for flying anywhere.
Today will be dog walking, gardening and then the hoovering/sweeping/mopping through house.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Piggers if you know and don't want to go then research some of the dietry changes you could make (I know not fun but better than the GP). Hex manages her's well by avoiding all grains. x
Hoping to achieve more today than yesterday, sitting in the garden with the GPig is not very productive. A child can do that today.
Right cricket whites to wash first then hoovering. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning
You can add my OH to the list of people who really should do something about their health. He feels lethargic, cant sleep and is always picking up bugs. He wont do anything about it though.
I am very excited. I bought one of those manual push carpet sweepers and it's amazing. I hoovered yesterday and still managed to pick up loads of dog hairs this morning. Yes I lead a very sheltered life I know but if you struggle to keep your carpets clean its worth spending £15.
2 loads of footie kit on the line, 1 more load in. Oh and I have washed the fridge out because it is almost completely empty. As*a shopping is coming between 10 and 12 and I hope its early because we have no food in the house!
Might go and watch DS play footie this aft.
Off to find more carpets to sweep ..0 -

I don't eat.. I've lived on tea for the last 2.5 months.. different battle entirely.. I was really pleased one day last week when I are a tiny bowl of mash and mince.. the size you'd give a toddler! and managed to keep it down.. tried again the next day.. bouncy food again.. I'm ok with this as it is a state of normal behaviour for me.. it will pass in time.. if not.. well I've lost 2 stone.. and 3 more can go before I hit 'underweight' .. I was 9 last time I was considered underweight!
I do intend going.. when I get chance.. the other issue is you have to call at 8am on the dot for an appointment and I am busy sorting schoolies and by 8:15 all appointments are gone! .. one of 'those' surgeries!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all.
No Sunday walk here today. I'm just too tired so had a lie-in instead.
Went to the DIY shop. Got what I wanted (red gloss by Hamm3rite, fast drying and toughI did check it was suitable for use on wood), and some paint stripper as they had the gel stuff. Started working on it at 3.30 when DD got home and I was stripping the front door until 11pm last night except for a break to listen to the second half of the football match while the gel did its thing and to make/eat tea. It needs more work on it today as it came off patchy so I applied a second treatment and left it overnight. So thats all I'll be doing today!
DD has a list of chores to do which I'm hoping she'll do without nagging today. I have a tiny Mr A list, but I might just send DD to c00p instead later. I have the cash and I can do the shopping tomorrow once my work delivery has arrived.I hate grocery shopping at the weekend but its the only way to make sure the packed lunch stuff doesn't get eaten over the weekend
I best get my coffee drank and on with the stripping. I'm really hoping it all comes off this time.

nicki, I really should remember to start at the beginning of people's posts...the first thing I read was 'I best get my coffee drank and on with the stripping. I'm really hoping it all comes off this time.':rotfl: made me chuckle! Nothing like reading things out of context to brighten the day
not much flying done this morning. Wash load on and might put another on before I head to mums. Tackled ROD yesterday so very pleased, now just have a mountain of paperwork to sort.
Hope everyone is having a nice sunday!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Being soft and cuddly is a good thing. If you haven't got the energy for shopping for clothes that feel comfortable, could you order some thing pretty that will give you a lift online? He's trying to lick my nectarine, I've offered to cut some up but he just wants to lick mine. Grotbag.
Is it wrong to find this funny?AimingForBetter wrote: »I hope nobody minds me adding to the calls for Piggers, Biscuit and anyone else putting off making Dr's appointments etc PLEASE DO IT, if you can't function properly due to pain or illness all those other things you have to do - keeping the family fed, taking them to appts etc WON'T get done if you can't do them. ^ ^ ^ Wot she said.
OH has just put on a dark load which we might manage to get pegged out and dry before the 48 hours of torrential rain due in arrives. The chalet cushions are coming on, which is interesting because half way through the third one I almost binned the whole lot while calculating how quickly I could dismantle the chair frames and drag the whole lot to the tip before scouring the second hand shops for a couple of replacements. I'm really glad I didn't because while I was buying this fabric to finish them, I realized what they needed was to be wrapped in wadding first. The difference is amazing. Very chuffed. I love, love, love teaching myself how to do stuff from You Tube. I'm going to skip the piping, though. That's one step too far at this stage and no-one will notice, anyway.Better is good enough.0
