  • Morning everyone from a soggy North Yorkshire.

Munched a frog this morning in the shape of an e-mail I didnt want to deal with so I am pleased about that.

Bit of ironing to do but I am planning to just gently potter today. OH and DS1 are at footie, DS2 is ready for a day at home after 3 days at school!

Right, best get out of my jim jams I suppose.

Morning all. I am also in soggy North Yorkshire, but think I may need to venture out soon with the dogs.

So far this morning I have sorted the fridge and freezers, done a meal plan for the week, texted a shopping list to DH and made a batch of lentil soup. Not a lot then.

When I get back from dog walk I intend to hoover/sweep/mop through house and take inspiration from you lovely lot.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Another Flylady in soggy North Yorkshire.
Two decent nights sleep have had their effect and I feel a lot better.

I have a friend coming round in about an hour and then I plan to spend the rest of the day snoozing, reading and watching TV. Trying to ignore the fact that I have put so much weight on during chemotherapy that most o9f my clothes don't fit.

    Morning all!

Soggy here in Merseyside as well.

Yesterday I got the stuff I needed to munch the frog shaped front door, started work on it and when I'd finished preparing it, it was in such bad condition I decided to paint it with gloss paint instead as the forecast at that point was dry overnight but rain today. By the time I'd painted it, the forecast had changed and by 9.30pm it was raining heavily so the paintwork is now damaged :wall: Then there are the areas where the paint has run, and areas where the surface of the wood is that rough the paint is patchy. So now I need to start over. I'm going to run up to the DIY shop again and see what quick dry gloss they have and buy that then come home and do my best to make the door good :( At least I have a waterproof coat to keep most of me dry.

On the plus side, DD and I flew like the wind this morning and the whole house has been given a quick once over. Its not perfect, the floors downstairs needs mopping (not worth it while its raining) but its presentable and will do :p I've also started my shopping list for tomorrow so I can add to it through the day as I remember stuff. Currently its very small, but having new smoke alarm batteries on it will make it expensive :(

I'm off to get changed into "going out" clothes instead of decorating ones, and going to the shop. I will have a nice looking front door before the month is out :rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you're feeling a little better CY.

The sun has come out here so I've been for pet supplies with the dogs. I'm just going to quickly hoover downstairs today I've decided. The mopping can wait till tomorrow as it won't stay clean anyway as Nicki said.

Bowls later, but I do have time to fit in some flying, I just need to find my GUAG.

Good to hear you've had some rest, CY xx

Just made lunch and need to sort out my whites wash - will see what school tops have come out like - they did not wash well last time.

Back in a mo - DD asking for yoghurts...

ETA nobody is arguing about nap time! Even DS is rubbing his eyes. Eurgh. He's trying to lick my nectarine, I've offered to cut some up but he just wants to lick mine. Grotbag.

CY.. Honey.. I think the least of your worries is that your clothes are snug!!! The treatment will be making you bloat so a lot is probably that rather that being fat.. it will go and if it doesn't no one cares.. everyone would rather have you here and cuddly than skin and bone.. literally!! Could you get some comfy clothes to allow for bloating just as a stop gap?? Even hit the chazzers if necessary? Glad you are feeling better and enjoy your visitor.. then rest! You're doing so well and the end can't be too far off for heavy treatment is it??

I'm in lots of pain today after we took the girls to the park yesterday.. the walk back had me in tears.. next time we are driving I don't care if it is only 5 minutes walk!! I really need to go to quacks about it but I just cannot face the drs and hospitals and poking and prodding I'd get.
