  • You never know - never say never. And don't beat yourself up if you don't make £150 - at least you're trying, eh?
  • Up early again with the pooches this morning so I collected all the change pots around the house and coppered up, hoping this can count towards my 'make money in November' - I was shocked to find I had £34! And some left over to start the next batch of savings....

I'll take this to the bank on Saturday, I also checked the Morrisons match and more account and I have a £5 voucher on the way whoop! :T if these both count towards my total that's an extra £39 yay!

Packed lunch 4 days this week but I'm going to treat myself tomorrow as its been a really tough week. 4 days from 5 means I'm saving £20-ish and spending £5 instead of spending £25. (Sometimes less, granted)

One week to holiday so I'm spending the weekend washing and ironing holiday clothes. I believe I have everything I need so won't need to splash out. I always like to treat myself to some duty free perfume though, my own little treat!

Given the debt-busting I've been doing (as well as the savings) I feel like I deserve it. ;)

Don't forget guys.... It's only bl00000000dy Friday tomorrow! Whoop!

  • A little bet on the underdogs in last night's footy won me £8 profit... little wins!

  • Hi LMD, I found your diary. You've commented on mine so I thought I'd pop over and say Hello!

I can't believe how much progress you've made in such a short amount of time. You're doing really well and only hope I can do the same in the new year once I can really start tackling the debts.

I'll be reading in earnest, it's lovely to see how positive you are with it all.

Have a lovely holiday, relax and enjoy yourself, you seem to have earned it.

  • Thanks for popping in and welcome to my humble diary. :)

I've been to the bank today and paid in my change, this was then transferred to my 'sabbatical fund' 3-6 months wages...lol

It's turning into a good day, I've just won £25 on a lotto scratch card! That'll come in handy for the holiday, i know a nice steak place where that £25 will get 2 delicious main meals right on the sea-front - can't wait!

I also spent under budget in Tesco this morning by £11 but sure as eggs is eggs I have forgotten some essentials... I'll have to pop back tomorrow :rotfl:

The way this month is going, I think (fingers crossed) that I may be able to use my current account for holiday spending money without dipping into my savings... I've been really really frugal (lunches to work, no Costa-lot coffees etc) and I've been counting the change, little wins so I've almost made the £150 now.

This would mean that for the rest of the month my PAD payments will be little round downs, however looking at the amounts paid this month it's almost 4.5% of my overall debt already which is good going. :T

As you can see, most of the time my outlook and attitude is positive but when I have a bad day, woah... run for the hills:mad: hahaha

So, if I can eek out the current account balance that leaves my savings account at just over £1000 into December. It's NEVER looked that healthy on the run up to Christmas before!

Anyway, just wanted to update as I was sooooo happy at the win.

Keep smiling everyone, it's infectious you know :p

PS - Just had another football bet come in for another £13 - little bets on the underdogs seems to be working for me in the FA Cup!

  • They say that it comes in threes so I'm looking forward to hearing about your next windfall LMD :D

Ah, no more windfalls to speak of but the wins were over 1 lottery win and 2 separate footy bets so I think that's my lot.

A successful NSD for me today (except for the PAD of course) and we've had a really quiet day. We had originally planned to pop out for a bite at lunchtime but saw a recipe on Sunday Brunch this morning and made that from stores instead :). It was delicious too!

I'm now preparing Sunday dinner as is the tradition while hubby watches telly, he's usually a good-un and is helpful around the house but he can't seem to master the Sunday roast :rotfl:

Packed lunches planned for the week but as hubby is out Friday night I think I may treat myself to a takeaway whilst I watch BBC Children In Need, it always makes me emotional and I know I will donate. As much as I need to save and pay off debts it's things like CIN which truly shows how fortunate I am.

    Right-o... The roasties need basting!

    Speak soon
