Hello all
Another home made lunch under my belt today, the first of 12 I have pledged to achieve this month which should save me between £40 and £60. It’s such a lot of money when you add it up. Subway will be wondering where I’ve got to!
Had confirmation of some commission so I’ve added that towards my ‘Make £x per day’ total, I’ve also had confirmation from TopCashBack that they are processing my payment so that should be in the bank soon.
Not much else to report, hugely busy day at work but managed to get loads done so all is good there, dogs are still mental and I still have too much housework to do… if only I could make a clone of myself to leave at home each day!
Daily PAD’s are being made religiously as always, trying to round down to the £0 now rather than the £5 but this probably won’t last much longer as the bank account dwindles.
Life is good and the debt is decreasing, slowly but surely.

Just in from work after a miserable commute home which took 45 minutes longer than normal... It's only going to get worse too as Christmas draws near!
Feeling a bit down today, I had signed up to a gazillion things to try and boost my income but after failing to be eligible for about 99% of the surveys I get sent the only thing I've boosted is my email traffic.... Argh.!
Looking at my total debt which stands at more than a shocking £20k now it feels such an enormous amount to pay off. I know I can do it, I HAVE TO. If the future dreams are to be realised it needs to go.
I'm off to have a word with myself... Back in a bit.

Just be kind to yourself. We all get days like this, where nothing seems right and everything is getting to us. I usually go to bed early on those nights, or do something mindless. You'll see on my daily tasks list that I have to remind myself not to make any big decisions on bad days...

Thanks Crazy_cat_lady, you're absolutely right and it's just one of those bad days. It's been a while since I've had a rubbish day I'd forgotten how down in the dumps I can get.
I had a little word, ate a load of junk food (from the cupboard) and gave myself indigestion.... Maybe I should call it an early night and hit the hay!
Looking at some signatures on the forum my debt is not insurmountable and at the rate I am paying it off I shouldn't complain. I guess I'm impatient and want to plan the future now, bust the mortgage and buy a retirement place in the sunshine.
I need to remember that I've already rid myself of one creditor and focus on banishing the next one.
Baby steps and little wins.
Not many wins today so I'm off to bed! Sure I'll be up super early with the dogs haha!
Thanks for listening and keeping sane

Hi Littemiss
Just wanted to pop in and say keep going you can do this.
I have had a couple of down days this week and have picked myself up, dusted myself off and am determined to keep plugging away.
Crazycatlady is right by saying you are dealing with it. Thats the main thing.

Thanks 12 month challenge, I really appreciate the support
crazy_cat_lady, your post reminded me of the "theory of 1%" so I've just worked out that in this fiscal month (or since pay day), I've already paid 3.77% off my total debt. I still have lots more PADding to do and I've also already increased my savings by more than £200.
It is making a difference and I'm feeling so much better.
Off to bed tho, I'm whacked!

Sometimes you just have to look at things a slightly different way to see how far you've come.

Hello... apologies for my 'blip' yesterday... I slept well and feel much better today. Lunch has been soup from home so nice and cheap with no shopping temptations. That makes 3 from 12 so far...
I do have to call at the supermarket on the way home for some essentials but this should be less than £7. I'm not feeling particularly well today and I can only hope against hope that I'm not coming down with something in time for my holiday
So, after last nights revelations of the 1% etc I have added to my tracker the % of remaining debt I'll be paying off each month (obviously creepign up towards 100% as I make my final payment. Does this make sense? Ignore me if not, I tend to be a waffler.
I think what was truly bothering me yesterday was that I can't see how I can reach £150 in the 'make £5 a day challenge' and I really don't like to fail. Maybe with hindsight I shouldn't have joined.:o Despite joining the suggested sites and surveys I don't seem to be getting anywhere. Aside from some commissions for referrals to a family members business I have no other means of income, I don't qualify for overtime or bonuses so all I have each month is my basic wages. Don't think it's possible to achieve £300 a month in roadkill :rotfl:
Anyway, I can laugh about it now! Yesterday I was so bewildered and mad at myself. Thanks for the support.
