  • Hi all

A good NSD for me today, except for the £116 PAD which almost cleared my bank account in preparation for pay day tomorrow. :T

I have had another home made lunch (including snackage today) so no spends, hubby made dinner for when I got home from supplies we had in the cupboard, bless...

Friday is on the horizon, although we have a busy weekend planned, it's family time and willl cost very little.

Tomorrow brings the big quadruple PAD... off to bed for me :)

  • So today was a good day money wise,

Pay day is always good but today I have paid £799 towards debt and squirrelled a £2.22 round down to my 3-6 moth sabbatical fund. £801.22 altogether and another £22o payment to savings and EF planned for tomorrow.

Clearly this has taken it's toll on my bank balance but the payment to my Halifax card takes me below the £1k mark which is great :T

End to the week is certainly better than the start on Tuesday morning!

  • Hi all

Up with the sparrows this morning so all reconciliation of bank accounts have been done.

Checked the Halifax card and the O/S balance is lower than I first anticipated to have updated my sig accordingly! :T I cannot wait to bust this one and then get cracking on the next. That will take longer though as the current balance is more than £6k, my biggest payments at the moment are going to Halifax so the next (BC) is kinda static.

This weekends spends should mainly consist of the food shopping and PADding. I didn't indulge in the Black Friday deals as the Christmas shopping is complete however I did buy a couple of pairs of comedy gig tickets for me and hubby - hope he's pleased :)

So after the account reconcile I have £190.80 'available' for the month (after allocated budgeting). This will cover everything from PADding to my hair cut mid December. A few months ago this would have seemed impossible to me but after taking lunches to work and being more frugal this is completely doable. For example, this week the only personal spending (aside from the gig tickets which are going in Hubby's xmas card) has been on a bottle of wine last night from the supermarket and lunch at work yesterday as a pay day treat - totalling; drum roll please.... £8.25!

I have some TCB tracking at about £80 which should soon be payable and I want to get some items on eBay before December so I can add some more after xmas (plotting the use of the 20 free listings per month)

Might get these on later today but this weekend is looking really busy so will probably be Monday if I'm being realistic.

Off to start the cleaning :( - definitely NOT a little win!

  • Managed to list 14 things on eBay today and will get another 6 listed on the morning to take me up to my 20 free insertions for November.

I have a few watchers so we will see what happens. As I'm not being charged for the listings, it's no skin off my nose if they don't sell yet.

Great day today and an NSD to boot! Food shop will have to be tomorrow :)

Monday went past in the blink of an eye... maybe because we are so busy at the moment!

So, the end of another month and we will be in December later tonight - starting to feel festive and I can't wait to start wrapping gifts :)

Made by obligatory PAD this morning of a small but never insignificant £1.25 to the Halifax card. Was funny to see the length of my last statement with all the payments instead of spends...

Other than the PAD this has been another no spend day. I added another 6 things on eBay to make sure I made use of the 20 free listings... only 1 item selling so far, but as I said I'm not too worried as I can re-list at the end of December.

My available balance for the month is now £195 as I underspent in Mr T's yesterday - Go Meeeee! I have checked TCB but the elusive 'confirmed' cash back is still not 'payable'

  • Morning.... Up with the dogs again but at least it's mid-week Wednesday. This working week is one of the normal stressful for the year for me so I will be glad when it's over.

Accounts checked this morning, PAD made to Halifax and the sig has been upsated with current Hx balance. Feeling proud that it's under the £1k mark and this is spurring me on no-end.

    Hope you're all doing ok

  • Absolutely! I got to this stage with Santander and then ended up blitzing it... Hope it happens again but obviously we have Christmas in the mix this time.

  • So, today turned out to be a really good day. :)

Work wasn't quite as bad as I expected and I managed another NSD with lunch provided by work and dinner cooked from batch cooking freezer supplies.

I am feeling bad at the moment about not adding much to my emergency fund and 3-6 month fund but I feel so spurred on to kick the butt of that pesky Halifax card!

Decided not to join in any challenges for December as I knew work was going to be stressful enough, I think my mental health really doesn't need any extra stress right now!

Off to veg in front of the telly
