So, an update this morning and I have received a 0% offer from Barclaycard until September 2016 in the post. I quickly did the maths and I've transferred my Halifax remaining balance to BC. There's plenty of room on there and it saves me about £45 in interest.
Once cleared I will move on to the next target card (BC) and start bashing the balance on that one.
That was a good MSE way to start the day
I've already had my "treat of the week" as I've ordered some vitamins to hopefully give me more energy, I'm so fed up of being tired in the winter. Even managed to be frugal with those as they were 3 for 2 and free delivery :rotfl:
Hope all is well, and I hope you all agree the transfer was the best thing to do
Oh, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Got to love those balance transfers LMD - I got offered one for MBNA until next Dec 2016 but almost all of my debt is now on 0% deals so wasn't worth it for me. Saving £45 is great, it might not seem like a lot but better in your pocket than theirs!
I hope you don't mind me asking, but what vitamins are you trying and have you tried them before? I'm a bit skeptical but am so tired all the time I'll try anything!!

I have ordered feroglobin b12, the reviews I've read have almost all been positive and the only negative ones have mentioned a bit of an upset stomach. Some reviews recommend taking on a full stomach.
I'm willing to try as I have a long commute which really takes it out of me on top of a stressful job, I don't want to waste my out of work life sleeping!
Let me know if you try them and we can compare notes

I was looking at b12 myself, have had a gander at those and they look like a good buy (especially with Holland And Barratts half price deal and topcashback
) so I think I'll give them a go - worth a try!

If you book an appointment at the GP they can do a simple blood test to check your B12 levels, if they're low you can get a B12 jab, my sister has these as she has low B12. Best bit is they're free! Also it means if you're not B12 deficient, buying the vitamins won't help anyway as your body doesnt need the supplements so you're effectively peeing money.0

Thanks, I ordered the B12 version because it had some good reviews but that's just an added bonus. I'm willing to try anything to make me feel a bit more energetic

Well, after yesterday's balance transfer joy I've made my PAD this morning to clear the last £10.87 from the Halifax card. This will join the Santander one in the safe, away from any shops!
Yesterday didn't end as well as it started but that's not from a MSE point of view, I had to take my mum to A&E as she's really very poorly and was struggling to breathe. Turns out its muscular in the rib cage but she's still in an awful lot of pain when breathing and talking let alone moving bless her!
I don't live close to my family so I've camped out in the spare room, hope Hubby has been behaving and I don't get home to a bomb-site today.
A few of my Ebay things have had some bids on them, only 5 of the 20 listed but that's better than none. I've accepted eBay's offer of 75 additional listings so i will have a look at re-listing or adding some more over the next few days if I get time.
I'm still waiting for my TCB to move to payable, it's the £78.75 from switching to Nationwide and it's been ages. I've a hair appointment next weekend and I hope it's cleared for then!
Better go and play nurse, I can hear mum coughing which is probably excruciating for her

I've been looking through my tracker and whilst my 'break even date' is April 2017 I feel I need to realistically review this as the savings are to pay for specific things such as Christmas, birthdays and holidays.
Therefore my ACTUAL target debt free date is December 2017. This means that my debt will be cleared in 24 months. That actually doesn't seem as bas as I first thought when I realised I'd need to recalculate. Gives you all an indication of my savings levels at any rate! :rotfl:
Unless I don't want to have birthdays, Christmas or holidays... which sounds pretty pants for the sake of 8 months at 0%
Off to update my sig with the honest truth :A

Hi
I'm hugely conscious that I have not been on here for a considerable time, especially as I usually provide daily updates and PAD fervently. I have spent the past week at the hospital with my mum, she is in intensive care in an induced coma and on life support. She has pneumonia and her organs are shutting down. Needless to say, whilst I have been with family and at the hospital I have not been online, except for when I received my CC statement which needed paying.
I have not forgotten my DF journey but at the moment it is all I can do just to keep going.
I will be back when I have more news, but didn't want you to think I'd done a runner and maxed out the credit cards.
