Hi, and thank you everyone.
I've spent some time going over my finances this morning, (can't sleep) and it's a good job I did as I almost missed my cc payment... so I have paid what I need to but I have not overpaid this month. This is because I have spent almost all of December off work due to being at the hospital and then sorting things/looking after dad (and crying a lot) that I am not entirely sure what I will be paid in January which of course will impact Feb.
2 months of minimum payments (Jan and Feb) should be OK though, a small set back considering the amount of stuff I am dealing with.:o
The world is just full of doom and gloom at the moment, the flooding here has been just awful but I have been watching the BBC World news this morning and America and Australia are also suffering. I feel so bad for those affected, especially at this time of year.

Hi LMD
Your overpayments are the least of your worries at the moment You will catch up with CCs etc dont worry.
It just shows what a lovely person you are. Worrying about others even though you have a lot to deal with yourself :A
Take every day as it comes and try not to take on too much. You need to look after yourself also
I promise you it gets easier
Stay strong

Thank you 12 month challenge, I can only hope it does.
The cc payment was due today and I have paid it online so am hoping it hits in time without late charges or jeopardising my 0% interest offer.
At least if I'm worrying about that I'm not sobbing...

You need to cry LMD let it out. I found I went through a range of emotions. I went from being heart broken to disbelief to shocked to anger all in a short space of time. I was angry at anyone who still had their mum.
.
Its all part of grieving. I hope your dad is ok too

Thanks again guys, I really do appreciate your kind words. It's all still a bit of a blur and the funeral approaches tomorrow which I know will take a massive toll on everyone.
I've managed to get a few PAD's in, nothing massive but every little bit counts. I've also had a letter from Santander offering me 0% for 12 months, I never thought this would happen but next weekend I might look to see whether it will be beneficial to move the BC balance over for 0% as long as I can blast it within the 12 months that is.
My BC is currently 17.5% so I could save quite a bit I think and clear it quicker without the interest being added.
I'll keep you all posted on what I decide to do

De-lurking to say that I hope tomorrow goes as smoothly as possibly.
And well done on still PADing. FWIW, I'd go for the transfer; it's so gratifying not to pay interest and the balance goes down so much quicker. Having the deadline helps too, of course xLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

Thanks, and I appreciate your de-lurking!
Rough maths sees a saving after the transfer fee of about £1160 so I'd say it's a no-brainer really.
