  • So, another lucky win for me today. Well yesterday and today. There was an online bingo offer on TCB when I was checking my Nationwide bonus - STILL not payable BTW. Since SEPT!

I had an evening to myself so I thought I would try it, not played online before... so, after a massive (£200) win on an instant game I have wagered what is necessary for the joining bonus to be covered and just withdrawn £101.10.

This should hit the bank next week :)

TCB will also give me £20.50 for using the site... quids in!

I fear this could be the end of my lucky streak so will be reigning in and sticking to footy bets (small ones, I'm not that brave) and lotto in the future.

I've still been making some reasonable PADs and the shopping bill this week was £11 under budget so that's a bonus. Not quite yet on to the beans on toast, however MrT's are doing WW frozen meals for £1 so with hubby being on afters next week I have stocked up with 5... a cheap week of food haha. We probably spend more on dog food in a week thinking about it... that makes me feel, erm - undervalued? :rotfl:

Everything else seems to be as good as it can be, as a family we are still mourning, I am spending as much time as I can with the family on a whole and checking in on Dad twice a day when I'm not actually there. It's all about support.

    Just like this site :)

Didn't want to read and run..

You're doing really well, especially given recent family events...you're right too that a lot of this is about support. In RL as well as virtual support on here.

I hope you have a good week and the PADs keep coming..

  • I am so impressed with how you've kept going through this whole difficult time... you are amazingly strong, and you're right - it is all about support.
Love to you and your family xxx
  • Thanks CCL

I can absolutely assure you that I don't feel strong a lot of the time, but as the older child I need to make sure I am there for my dad and my sister when they need me. They both had a really rough day yesterday and I managed to hold off until about 4pm before I broke down in tears!

It's the rough with the smooth, the highs with the lows and masses and masses of support... for which I thank you all.

  • LMD, I am so sorry to hear about your mum, I haven't been on in a long time so have only just seen this. Love to you, take it easy, your debt can wait, what you are dealing with is so much more important. xxx

  • Good grief, the past few days have been really tough. I think it's because there's a lull in dealing with all of the paperwork and I've less to keep me busy so my mind keeps drifting back to mum. I could have shares in Kleenex (other brands of tissues are widely available)...

On the money front I have been busy building bonuses on TCB, currently has £79 confirmed and £53 pending. With other stuff there's another £105-ish still to go 'confirmed' in the next week or so. Then we play the waiting game.

Had £10.50 payable hit the bank this morning so it was part of my PAD to cc... Wherever I can I am making my PADs as large as possible. This month I have moved some of my savings to pay off cc a bit and I've already paid 5% of my total O/S debt - we still have 14 days 'til pay day ;)

It'll all slow down soon although hubby has suggested we need to tighten our belts this year...:rotfl: further? Oh my word...

Off to snuggle the pesky dogs

  • Lots of love to you LMD - hope you're being kind to yourself.
  • Thank you CCL

I was up stupidly early with the dogs again and they're refusing to settle... I think they're after breakfast but I am not going to give in and feed them early!

Checked all my accounts already and cash back is tracking nicely on TCB and QC.

I managed to finally get signed up to Pinecone yesterday, I've heard these are the best for surveys as they only send you one to complete if you're eligible so that should save some wasted time. I had given up on the whole survey thing as it just seemed like I would give lots of info and then all of a sudden the survey 'wasn't for me' and I'd have to try another.

Teeny tiny PAD today of 85p to my sabbatical fund, I've had some large ones lately so I need to try and make it to pay day without being totally broke (although clearly I am already due to masses of debt!:()

I have 12 days left before pay day and not much left available in the bank. The bingo win I am putting to one side as I have a girls weekend coming up and that'll go towards the weekend. It will be nice to have some distraction, we are also going on holiday in Feb which is already paid for so that should be nice. just need spending money.

On the downside, i've just found a dog-claw sized rip in the leather sofa... They do my bloomin head in!

    5..4..3..2..1 and breathe!
