Loans are coming in
I'm still waiting on my DSA to be sorted, argh
I also found out I only have one exam on my entire degree :j :jNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I should of had a tutor in my previous uni but they refused to proof read my work and gave me little helpful advice. In this uni they said they'll proof read my assignments. I have problems filling up forms too. It's weird because I can write normally (apart from problems with spelling etc) but always mess up forms. It's not so bad I need asistance, it's things like putting the answer in the wrong section etc. Hence they're always full of tipex. I already brought one book, I assumed they would pay me back as they have in the past. If they refuse then I'm sure the allowance will get used up by ridiculously expensive ink catridges and other things. They don't pay for paper though. I also get extra time in exams and record all lectures which is a life saver. But it's taking me too long to read around now...it never was this bad.
I think I better seek advice.
are you sure you dont get printer paper? my lea pays for it. im exactly teh same with forms, terrible! i always scan them into my computer so if i go wrong i can have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. go! i never got a study skills tutor before even though i was supposed to as you have to book it yourself and my lea said ask the student services for the names and numbers and the student services refused to help as their disability adviser had walked out of her job! you have to use one of their approved tutors too, so i couldnt get my own. they also have a new disability adviser finally too! i alsd find it very hard to read large chunks of text but i do my notes in mind maps which really helps and i have a digital recorder aswell. your student services will be able to help you (provided your disability adviser hasnt walk out of her job aswell!) and they are also the people to see if you require a dsa top-up.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -
Well, it looks as if I will not be a student this year. After already resigning myself to the fact that I thought I had failed programming terribly and was about to retake it part time, I was shocked to hear from my tutor I had passed.
Due to my results still not turning up, good work uni/royal mail and the mess of year 2 options, I have decided to take a year out and hopefully find a placement or work for a year then go back and complete my third year.
So if possible I would like to still join the student club or I can wait till next year.
Good luck to all the rest of you, hope you get amazing results.
Thank you to the person who said about the 3rd year possibly being easier, if year 2 was anything to judge from I would need to split into 4 for the 3rd year.0 -

Anyway I'm working as a designer so I guess my degree got me a job!
