Hi there! This really is back from the dead isn't it?!

I'm currently studying at college in Newcastle, moving to Sunderland in under 3 months now, starting Uni in September there doing Psych.

Currently largely living off savings that I stashed just before I left my old job to go back to education :( but it looks like i might be due a tax rebate :) which is really good news!
    On the up :D

    Hi all!
Since this thread appears to be alive I'd like to join =]
I'm studying Psychology at SHU and I'm just 10days away from finishing my first year! (eeeeek!)
There's been a few financial hiccups this year family wise (I've basically been supporting myself and at some points my family with just my loan/grant this year) but I'm trying to sort next years money, well starting to, now =]
Any idea what member number we're up to?

    hey! hey! pick me!!
i want to join! have exams at the moment and will be total carp with money for the next month but will be working two jobs over the summer, and im gonna open a monthly savers account so my money goes away and i cant touch it!!

gonna try and go a bit old style too and do meal plans next year, and cook with flatmates. Bought a filofax today (dont worry! it was on ebay;)) and am gonna start looking at my expenses properly and on a regular bases.
Im so fed up with burdening my mum and dad for money because ive wasted it on something stupid.
Next year is the start of the responsible brownsauce!

I've finished first year! and have kept only workng 2 days a week for the past 2 and half weeks as I've been sorting out trying to get a new job (eeek!) and have been sorting out finances ready for when my loan comes in in September! I thought I planned ahead last year but it all went a bit haywire but his year I'm ready and even have some money saved ready for the start of next year!

Maybe we could start a thread of tips/tricks/hints that we've all found useful as a sort of reference point for us all?
