Subject: Are you ready for Apple Pay?
I've just opened an account with TSB to make use of the 5% cash back offer on contactless transactions (for times when I don't want to use my Santander card at places I won't earn 1/2/3% on it).
Now they are on the verge of launching Apple Pay that's even better news; I believe places like Boots, The Co-Op, M&S (as well as Waitrose) don't have the £30 limit in place but my local Morrison's does. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
The only times I've ever seen CNP used in the context of card payments is for Cardholder/Customer Not Present - at least 'Not' actually starts with an 'N'!
That's what I found on Google so I was all !!!!!! C&P would be clearerMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)0 -
How do you conclude that? Has there been any announcement? Have there been any reports that people managed to pay for more than £30?
Boots announced earlier on in the year the £30 limit would be removed from November 2015.
I've seen on the Macrumors forum where OPs have been to Marks and Spencer/Waitrose and paid for shopping above the £30 limit.
My local Co-Op has a green label around the SCO; it says something like: contactless accepted here (with the Visa/MasterCard/AmEx/Apple Pay decals) up to £30. Apple Pay transactions are not subject to the £30 limit (or something along those lines). It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. From 28th Sep to 19th Oct, I spent £90.28 on Contactless debits. All but one went through fine without asking for the PIN.
On the 23rd of Oct I got the grand total of 66p and not the roughly £4.51 I was expecting.
Guess I'll have to ring them.0 -

The payment for October's spend will be made sometime this month.0 -
The 23rd Oct payment is only for the September transactions though so not the whole £90.0

I didn't get the email myself yet, but I notice that when I try to add a TSB card to my iPhone wallet, it now brings up the terms and conditions. This is what happened with Lloyds a few days before they finally enabled their cards. So here is hoping. Mind you, I have already spent my max for November, so I won't be using the cards again for another 3 weeks now.0
