An Amazon gift card would be even better than Waitrose/JL, as they don't expire for 10 years, as opposed to two. But can you buy them at self checkouts? I'm getting fed up with being interrogated each time I buy 4 x £25 Waitrose gift cards by well-meaning staff who want to do them all in one transaction.

Loophole alert. My partner appears to have received cashback on a purchase she was refunded the following month.Maybe it will be clawed back next time?

The same often happens on my credit card - I get cashback on debits but they don't "take" cashback for credits.

But the TSB fails about every third shop or so, makes you wonder why?

The cynical view is they want to limit the amount of cash back they pay out, they probably spin it that it's security.

I don't know how many of their customers keep a 2000 balance and have balance alerts to top it back up when the transactions go out, but it can't be worth 5% to them. I noticed that one of my text alerts didn't arrive so I lost a couple of days interest as I didn't keep on top of it.

When you buy an Amazon GC for £25 in Morrisons, do you get a fuel voucher for 2.5p? I thought it was in multiples of £50.

That's right I buy £15 cards and get 1.5p of each litre of fuel twice.

Although I have also bought a £30 boots card there too and got 3p off fuel.

Did two transactions yesterday (at the same store) which went through as contactless without problems.

Looked online this morning and both transactions are showing in pending as CHIP & PIN

Just as I thought it was beginning to run smoothly....................

Doesn't appear to be any online way of contacting TSB, or is there?

Both mine and MrsM's seem to be a straight 6 transactions until it fails. Just been to the local £5 cashpoint whilst we were in town this morning and reset them ;)

With 4 TSB cards between us and having to frequently reset with a cash withdrawal of £10 we found we had too much cash! However we found the nearest £5 cash machines by going to https://www.link.co.uk - click ATM Locator - enter your postcode - click advanced search - tick "Dispenses £5 notes" box - click the search icon and "voila" the addresses of the £5 ATM`s appears.
