Morning all
Busy day yesterday and I have loads of jobs to do today as a result. Before I do anything else, while DD is out with the dog, I'm going to go and bag up some of the meat we bought yesterday! How on earth I'm going to fit it all in my freezer after looking in it when I got home, I don't know. But if I bag it in portion sizes then I squirrel it away in various places I'm sureWM has just finished but the meat needs doing!

I dpon't know why I think I enjoy sewing. I've run up four seams on the first cushion cover and now have to unpick two of them. I'm utterly hopeless at this!
Hugs for you CY, Mumto5 and  at Piggers, because obviously a hug's out of the question. Being a mum must be the absolutely toughtest thing on the planet, but you are all brilliant at it.Better is good enough.0 -
CY if I was in mobility-buggy range of you, I'd be over to assist - and then probably collapse on the sofa with you.:D I'd be inclined to draw up a list of the things that are making you itch to do them, and give it to the family and explain that seeing these tasks in need of doing is impeding your ability to rest properly.
Tbh I don't think I'd be a lot of use at present - I've caught myself doing some really silly things lately - brainfog in full swing, I fear. It's like I have two tasks in my head, and I somehow do half of each at the same time - sorry not explaining it very well, but the net result is chaos. Like for instance, I need to dust, and at some point the loo needs scrubbing. So I end up trying to clean the loo with furniture polish.:(:(
Probably won't get online tomorrow - Mr LW is working from home in order to take me to my GP appointment in the morning; see if she'll prescribe the stuff the optician has recommended for blepharitis and Sjogrens.
Ben Labrador will be arriving on Friday.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
CY as piggers has said, your friends are coming to see you, not your house, if any make any comment, say something like, well the duster and polish are other there, may be could could do it for us>..................!
Lw, don't worry too much, I was hunting high and low the other day for the salt and pepper, they normally live in the cupboard near the cooker, but found them in the fridge...........

Sorted money shuffle for the month
Cleaning done
Kitchen bin replaced with the one from my office, as I some how, don't know how, broke the plastic lid (doh), broken lid in recycling, bottom bit in garden for weeds and other door type jobs............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me! Talking of fridges, that reminds me of one classic time, I had an armful of stuff to go in the pink recycling sack in the shed - defunct shopping lists, the junk that comes in the Saturday paper, a couple of empty plastic bottles, that style of thing...... and found myself stashing it all neatly in the fridge.:rotfl: Honestly, you have to laugh or you'd cry!
Executive decision - I'm just going to pootle along and do the absolute necessary this week and next; we are away from 12th to 15th Sept, short break in Yorkshire for our wedding anniversary, and I'm hoping that will get me back on track to be able to start proper Flying again when we get back.:o
On a positive note, I've managed to poke about in the cupboard where the $ky box, VHS player, PS2 and DVD player live, and give all the stuff a good dust; it's awkward to get to, and you have to watch all the wires, so it tends not to get done too often. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I am so failing already this week
I've had a really busy day today with Small starting school and having to be everywhere other than home today. Nothing in any bedrooms done but a HM Shepherd's Pie is in the oven and a plum crumble cooling down, ready for pudding, courtesy of our ancient and previously unloved orchard. I'll have to look up fruit-tree pruning so I can give the sorely neglected trees some TLC.
I have hoovered the hallway and lounge, sorted the ironing, ready for a mammoth session, and....well, actually, that's about it...
BTW - I found my hairbrush in the fridge this morning, so I think that qualifies me to join the brainfog gang x0 -
Dizzy depending on how many tree, it might be worth getting in a local tree surgeon as a one off cut, to get it done well
Ironing is all done, and away
Roast dinner is done
Rolls bought as the ones for lunch tomorrow seem to have done mouldy, so a good job I checked.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

As there are a number of people on this thread who are finding life tough atm, I don't want to make it any tougher for them. So - if it's all right with you, Dusty - if you are one of the others who actually wants to have a copy of Dusty's Declutter and Deep Clean List, please PM me with your email address and I'll happily send it to you.
Had a lovely day with DS2 and family. DGS3 played musical instruments with me for an hour, and DGS4 fell asleep at the right moment, so I even got to read the chapter of my book. I also did a bit of flying with DS1 before the HV came round.
Just caught up with the thread, now I need to go and line the cake tin. The butter has been out of the fridge all day but is hardly soft :eek:0
