List looks good dusty. I liked having a quick look to see who was flying back in2012!!!

They're newbies, think I've been here since 2006 and Piggers pre-dates me.

Cat has had a good night and has got herself on and off the bed and is curled up normally.

  • I have been missing in action this week, but at least there's been action! Not really been following the lists on here, but gave our conservatory (dining/family room) a good dust, sweep, mop and tidy yesterday, as well as dusting the music room (drums are a nightmare - dust trap and really fiddly to clean) and wiping down all surfaces in kitchen inc. cupboard fronts left over from last week! oh and I swept in kitchen too and cleaned the kick boards, which were disgusting!
Off to work today, but will see what I have energy for when i get back later. Have a good day everyone!

Valli so glad pusscat is ok this morning
Hope all are as well as can be.
I've got hair appt this morning then got to nip round mils and move the beds round, she kept fils bed as they had singles, but now she calls one her summer bed and one her winter one so at a certain time of the year I have to change the position of the beds over so she can sleep in the same place but in the other bed. THEY ARE IDENTICAL!!!! Apart from one has underbed drawers, all that is different is the tog rating of the duvets but she won't let me change the duvets over I have to move the whole bed. Fills the day I suppose.
I'll call my summer challenge a success as I didn't actually finish one individual project but I've got almost to the end on several and even started a couple more. I'm hopeful the cross stitched stocking will be finished for Christmas - hope so it's going to be DGS first Christmas pressie from me. I've decided that all future DGC should any more arrive will get one. I just need to be more organised and perhaps start stitching as soon as the arrival is announced LOL.

Have a good day all I'll catch up later hair appt is calling.

Calm bedshifting vibes for you Mrs MP. I had to do something a bit like that when my father died.

Bouncy cat vibes with anti-asthma vibes for you, Valli. Devil Cat got taken to the vet yesterday because I think he's lost quite a bit of weight and his behaviour has changed, but apparently he's okay, shouldn't be any bigger than he is anyway and has very early sights of cateracts. Bless.

BM on, dog walked. Shower room and kitchen scrubbings next, I think.

First cushion finished late last night. A bit puzzled as to why it's not perfect, but it's made and that's huge, huge progress. I then have a marathon unpicking session of the second cushion so far, because it'll never be any more right than the first one if I just carry on. Then off to the scrap store, P@Home, dump and CS and Morribunds, back home, then into town with OH for various shoppings and home again for 22 year anniversary dinner. At some point I'll watch GBBO on iplayer because I missed it last night. So it'll be busy and I rather fear several of those things might not get squeezed in.
    Better is good enough.
  • Morning all! Glad to hear the Valli cat is okay this morning.

Currently slobbing on the sofa watching daytime TV.

Went out yesterday - blood test at the hospital followed by a pub lunch with DS and DD2. Really enjoyed it, but by the evening I was feeling quite icky. A case of doing too much I suppose. I spend a good deal of my time advising DD1 to pace her activities. I need to listen to my own advice.

Back to hospital this afternoon for a short burst of chemotherapy. Trying to drink plenty this morning (slurps cuppa) as veins try to do a vanishing act when I get to the hospital...

    - S&S kitchen - done
    - tidy LR - done
    - S&S bathroom
    - quickly tidy our bedroom
    - check credit card payment has gone out
    - phone a friend to arrange a meeting
    - help DH move bookshelves in his man cave, if required - a friend of his has just turned up :D
    - carry on with my boxes until lunchtime
    - U3A monthly meeting 2.00 - 3.30: a talk on Macular Degeneration
    - oddments of shopping to make a cheese-and-pineapple-on-sticks hedgehog on Saturday (mustn't forget to buy cocktail sticks :rotfl:)
    - more work on boxes later: perhaps I can get this set finished tonight?

Catch up later. (((Hugs)))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

OH has been in charge of looking after the house over summer whilst I've been crazy busy at work...today is his first day back and work and yesterday was my last :T so it's my turn to start cleaning! He's kept it tidy, but it's definitely not as clean as I'd like :p think I'm going to have to do one room a day to catch up.
