Need to get back onto it but feeling really down atm so will accept any hugs virtual or not that are going spare, please. Think I have got to here because I've been trying to do too much, without the thread and crashed and burned.

Hugs sticks and spoons to anyone needing them and I will be reading but perhaps not posting for a while.

Massive and plentiful (((hugs))) for you, JTTOU. Sorry to hear you're feeling washed out and blue. It's hard finding the right balance between doing what you think you should be doing and making sure you take time out for You. There's no easy answer as far as I know but we've all been there at some time or other. My usual cure is to take time out and then plunge back in in exactly the same way as before. Not clever, really, and the outcome is pretty predictable.

I'm restricting myself to 15 mins actual cleaning a day now; if I carry on or do extra that's fine but as long as I've done my 15 minutes I've 'flown' for the day and the rest just polishes the halo - the 15 mins qualifies me for one automatically :A. Being sprogless means I can growl at OH if he's causing extra work ;) and the rest is down to me.

The net result is that I now don't spend my time procrastinating, avoiding doing the actual flying, which means some is getting done every day and the house looks much better. I can't tell you the number of days I've wasted just trying to avoid doing the dusting. I hate dusting; now I just do 15 mins on Monday and it's over for the week.

Six sewing boxes sorted and ready to back up to the attic. It may not sound like progress but it really is because I've found loads of things I've been looking for, sorted another box of gibble for the scrap store, another box for one CS and a couple of other things for a different CS, and a box for the tip. *fling* I even got OH up into the attic to sort through the painting box; crusted stuff has been *flung* Another bin bag filled for chucking too.

I think I may even embark on those cushion covers this afternoon.
    Better is good enough.

We had just 21 people present including Mr LW and myself! And of course I wrote the Handfasting ceremony myself, keeping it simple so that everyone would understand it - for such a small gathering, we had a remarkably wide selection of different religions present.:o

Sorry new list is in red am doing it on my tablet and not very good at all the bits.. Will change it when I'm on lappy tomorrow. Hugs xxx
Aww, sweetie, it's good of you to do it at all, so don't worry about the colour.:o
:eek:Well that's the weirdest thing in the history of things, just had a text message saying "I love you" and it's not from DH phone:eek: it's not a number in my book so not the kids. Very strange!! Guessing it's a wrong number and the sender would be mortified if I texted back "erm who are you":rotfl:
    Oo-errr! Maybe you have a secret admirer?:D

Flying off-piste, and in fits and starts this week. Executive decision made to defer vacuuming til Lizzie's been collected (about 16:00 this afternoon) as I didn't fancy doing it twice.;)

  • I think someone with a mo you a digit either Sid of mine somewhere is missing a text, certain it wasn't meant for me.

Weather can't make up its mind here, we get lovely sunshine interspersed with lashing rain first day back to work here so got that under my belt.
Done some flying and an hours cross stitch, going to do some more flying and see what I can sort for tea.

In again this week!! Kitchen had been lovely and clean until last night when I made a beef and red wine casserole for the slow cooker today. It required just about every pot in the house and the recipe insisted I throw flour all over the kitchen:):)

Have now put everything back in the cupboards and emptied and restocked dishwasher. Now for the actual tasks!

under stair cupboard vacuumed and filled with the neatly boxed up wool.. loads more to fit back in but I need it to be put away tidy rather than the jumbled mess it currently is!

I vacuumed the hallway and front room too

5 more things listed on ebeast.. 1 item collected :)

Must go check out the crochet classes tomorrow.. DS1's OH wants to learn and I said I'd go with her because I am useless too.. it will be nice to spend time with just her with no mini-beasts about :D

Looking at support groups for DS3.. these may prove .. interesting.. am I right to be concerned about him moving into LGBT groups? I know they are people, I know they are probably all perfectly lovely but it feels like he cannot retreat form this path if he starts on it.. I think it is my general distrust of everyone else.. I'm just concerned in case they are mean to him.. ok, so mother hen kicked in and I cannot protect him from everything.. this is my problem.. aaaaand... moving on.. lol.. thank you for listening :p .. its no different to me going to crochet classes is it?.. I know this really.. I just want to go with him and make sure he is ok.. I'm such a geek.

    knitting it is then!
