]Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Bossy for last week's thread

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

    Evening all :hello:

I'm in for the week again. Thank you Bossy for last week's and Natty for this week :)

Here in Scottie-lands we don't have this bank holiday so it's just a normal Monday for us.

I think I might do some cooking and try to finish the ironing after I've done the dailies.

Also need to finish turning up my shorts, as I've pinned and tacked them and just need to hem. I have to do this in the daytime as using black thread on black shorts.

Hope you all have a lovely holiday Monday and the sun shines for you all

Thank you Bossy for last week's thread and Natty for the new one.

I still have six box-shaped frogs to munch, so plenty to keep me occupied while DH is playing on the railway. For my "nice thing" I will make DGS4's christening cake. Also need to phone DS1 and send someone an email plus a cheque in the post. Meals will be easy, as we've got plenty of leftovers in the fridge :D

FBO, I loved your earlier post. Taking pride in your appearance is definitely a good thing to be doing :T

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks wherever needed. Hope everyone has a good start to the week x

Morning all and thanks for the threads Natty and Bossy

Weekend was filled with cricket, the annual fundraiser/charity event was yesterday so I've spent most of the weekend at the cricket club.

Today needs to be a catching up day of everything flying, financail and back to schoolish. Also need to take DS1's chest of drawers over to his flat.

    Have a good day friends.

    Thanks for the thread Natty

Woke up this morning with intentions of going on a long walk. Looked out the window and its raining so that put the mockers on that. I want to go to Mr Al & Mr A this morning as early as possible to buy some more bits I didn't get on Saturday but need. They open at 8am & there's supposed to be a break in the rain then so I'm hoping to dive out quickly and get back.

DD is due back at lunch time, so I want to get some admin frogs eaten before she gets home, and then I'll do the washing when she gets back as we want to run errands tomorrow on the bus as her school bus pass will be valid so we'll only have to pay for mine (£4.20) ;) I best list my jobs for today or I'll still be sitting here at 10am :rotfl:

    Personal
    Sort through freezer/fridge
    Update food inventory
    Meal plan
Start Mr A delivery list for Friday
Write to do list for tomorrows errands (sweatshirt, butchers, HB)
    Laundry

    Monday ~ Bank Holiday..
Because I'm feeling so nice....Have the day off but......

    Do your dailies
Tackle a frog or 5 (HGP, WP, HHNB)

and spend the rest of the day doing nice things with your family!

Time to finish my coffee and get myself sorted for the shops. Hopefully it'll be quiet!

Morning flyers. Thanks for the list Natty, just my type.

It's raining here too so my plans to progress with the garden are scuppered although I hope to spend some time in the greenhouse. As for dailies, I'm putting them off till the afternoon in the hope that the rain will stop and I can take the dogs out, as I'm planning to bath them and then hoover and mop through the house. Maybe their bath can be a walk in the rain....or maybe not.

Can I ask you lovely people for some advice please? We are going to a wedding soon and the couple have asked for money instead of having a present list. Now, my dilemma is that we haven't actually met the couple yet although I expect that at some time in the future we will be related.

Any ideas what a suitable amount might be??

    Have a great day everyone.

Oh, and meant to say I tackled a real live frog yesterday while gardening. Nature is amazing but it did make me giggle.

I'm in please :) Small starts school on Wednesday *sniff* so I'll have a bit more time to fly. Will just be me, Tiny, three dogs and six chickens while DH is at work.

Raining hard today so unlikely to get out and about, so might potter and plan.

Caught up with last week's thread just now - lots of lovely posts and comments. Had the skids all week and was flat out entertaining left, right and centre, so sorry for being MIA. Echoing all the thanks - you ladies are so supportive xxx

Jazee it sounds complex, I have never been to a wedding where we have not met the bride and groom. I would say how much would you choose to spend on a gift and if you feel happy to then give that amount.

    Morning all.

Thanks for last weeks thread and thanks for starting this one.

I just wanted to echo my appreciation for everyone on this thread. I love hearing about other people's lives and helps me to know others have times when they find things tough. I also appreciate the lists as I need some guidance!

Yesterday was eventful! The hous looked great, we did all the jobs apart from hhi and put up the bathroom cabinet. We had the bbq inside due to weather with a slight hiccup of running out of gas!!!!

Then after we had eaten my cousin collapsed which involved some of the family looking after her and some of the family trying to contain 7 children in one room without letting them know what was going on. Ambulance was called but she started feeling a little better and refused to go to hospital! Arrangements were made to get her home and she went straight to bed to sleep it off!

Anyway, today will be a chilled out day.
