NST: September: the Turtles go Wombling

I've done a quick food shop - for under £20, including some steak (it's our wedding anniversary today and while we are not going to do anything special, having our indefinite visitors, I'd like to look forward to a good dinner - even though we'll prob wait until Friday). I probably haven't got enough to last a week but we needed milk so I had to spend anyway.
I did walk there and back, which would have cost £3 bus fare.
I've gotten a workout done. I do them in the house academia, ever since having dd. I do Zuzka Light ones, having followed her from bodyrock.tv. Today I did: Pin up legs 12 min: 10 burpee + 5 each pistol = 4 rounds + 10 pistol. Ooph!
The car has been collected for repair (from the damage caused by the eejit who drove into dh 2 weeks ago); I've had a lovely friend round for a coffee and chat; a wash is on the airer. And it is not even 2pm! Another hour until the school run.

Wow slow down apple muncher your making me feel tired.:)
:eek:Right now I am going to fess up to my card totals - to shame me into not spending on my monthly one, anymore. Today I have paid off 125.86 I still have to clear 389.00 by 05.10.15. Not sure how it got that high, vet bill, car insurance, microwave, trainers, bday pressie. Never paid interest in last few years debt busting so don't intend to start now. :money:
My other cards will only get 100 pounds paid this month.:(
I did a food shop all ys items, 3 pork chops, potatoes, veg, bread total 4.20 happy with that. Lost my SFD to baby wipes and special dental floss for my bridge.
Going to try my hardest rest of the month, meal out Thursday but cheap and cheerful place. Dreading dentist next week, so many teeth have broken lately could be an expensive visit.
Will do some form of walking after work as grandson free tonight and the sun is out.
Had such a lovely few days off work last week, miss the fresh air stuff in stuffy office.
Sorry for the ramble now I know what I need to aim for so get back on track next month after this months wobble.:DLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Apple, I do DVDs too - I'm a Jillian Michaels fan, her workouts are so hard but really make a difference to my fitness levels! At the moment though I'm so tired (need more sleep) and that makes me lazy and also more likely to reach for crisps rather than fruit! Will try to be a bit kinder to myself though, beating myself up about it is just going to make me more unhappy. Will start again tomorrow
Found out earlier that whilst I was away this weekend OH did the full week's shop at the bloody co-op! No wonder the money didn't stretch as far as it should have done (lots of stuff was between 20p and 40p more expensive)! We will be having words when he gets home!!!Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

Hello, sorry been not much on since we came back but been drifting around the MSE website. I think I just had another wee LBM. I was reading and skimming through other threads and then actually totalled our debt up (excl. mortgage) but actually fessing up that the money we owe from the wedding etc is part of that (which just increased as we had two mortgage payments in a month after the switch to the new deal) and our total is now £5290 :eek:.
This actually shocked me. Before I thought, och got 3745 on the CC which is the car, £360 here and £1185 there but never saw the total figure somehow plus "well it's all interest free".
Plus after some loose spending on holiday (more eating out then needed and activities etc) this months finances look bleak.
Well better get my MSE hat on and join in properly again.
Sorry, hopefully will catch up properly tomorrow.
Off home to count spare pennies and start a a £100 square chart.....DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi everyone, I've just lost my post  Sorry I have been Awol not feeling too clever, well. Time of the month and the joys it entails
Well DD is at uni now,we took her on Saturday. Too I'll to shed a year,I just needed to get home, as I suffer horrendous pain. It was sad to see her go but exciting to see her start a new and much fought for and wanted chapter in her life. I'm very proud of her. I too do Gillian Michael's DVDs and I too have left a lot to be desired since the weather got colder. I just cannot be bothered. I wake up with good intentions....:o
Well I decided to trade in my air miles in the virgin seat sale and myself and my youngest are off to Vegas and LA next summer. The trip will be very special as the last time I did this trip was for my 40th and on it I vowed to get debt free with approx 15k around my neck. So hopefully when we return, I should be.We loved the national parks beaches ect. I know its seen as an adults playground, but I don't drink, smoke or gamble,so that part is irrelevant to me. I'm hoping it also keeps me focused.
Well I need to catch up, but take care everyone and have a good evening:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Well, there are several of us 'fessing up now! I'd like to officially say that the naughty step is no longer available and is closed for the rest of the month! So, everyone who is on there had jolly well better get off before being tipped off ...
Blips happen. But we realise what we have done pretty soon afterwards and chooses not to take the ostrich approach! We are turtles, no way can we bury our heads in sand.
No one here will judge another - we all mess up, fess up and then get back on track.

Traveller how nice to have a holiday to look forward to. I have quite a few virgin air miles but not close enough to being debt free to book yet, something to aim for.
