Skulking back in again
Hi all
Have been AWOL (again)
How come I struggle to find time to update regularly. Must take this more seriously.
Anyway have done yet another snowball, adjusting payments etc. as my DD is moving out and therefore I will lose her housekeeping money. I will be gaining in theory though as the amount of washing she makes and the amount of hot water she uses is like
I will give myself some credit though, after doing a financial review I was pleasantly surprised as since starting my diary I have paid off £15,212.36 from my CCs :j
I started at £33,195.55, Now sitting at £17,983.19
Still a huge amount but at least its coming down.
Have been feeling a little overwhelmed by it all again recently. Just wishing it would all go away but will keep plodding. I will be doing another weekly budget today and will be opening my sealed pot in the next couple of days to see how much I have managed to squirrel away for :xmastree: I already have some presents bought and paid for out of my own pennies so a bonus there too. I will be buying a new £1 tin ASAP ready to start again. Just adding small bits and bobs soon builds up as my tin feels quite heavy now.
Onwards and Upwards, ready to tackle another 12 month challenge

You have done so so well 12 month it is hard now because you are in the middle of the process and the middle is never exciting. You have left the initial excitement of dealing with your debt far away and the finishing line is not yet in sight. Every penny you pay off is a massive step towards a better future. You have got this!!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

That's a fantastic amount to pay off in a year, you put me to shame

The finish line is certainly in sight.0 -
Just dropping in to wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful, fun and debt busting new year :xmassign::xmastree:

Ahhh thank you Bear
I am still around but have not been updating my diary
. I find that I tend to write nonsense and therefore stayed away from it. Maybe I need to pick up where I left off. After all I am now about to begin a new 12 month challenge
. Wow where did the year go  Quite looking forward to starting again and seeing what difference I can make again.
Have been plodding along in the background, still a little overwhelmed by it all again. I managed to make a difference overall with my payments and snowballing etc.
Am still ever so determined to keep going however long it takes me. A DFW on this site has paid off over £103,000 and is now debt free
There is hope for me yet
Have been trying to get my head around YNAB I keep fiddling around with it and I think I may be getting the hang of it. I aim to wipe the slate clean as such, do a new budget for debts, groceries etc and begin the year with fresh new wheels on my debt busting wagon. And we're off :rotfl:
OH has been ok too, we have been getting along nicely, I make it sound like it's all him
. I too can be moody mainly about the debt situation and can moan at him unnecessarily. But things have been ok and I think we have both started to accept the situation and get on and tackle it together.
Will update when I have my new 12 month challenge sorted
Anyway enough about me, hope you and yours are having a lovely Christmas a happy new year and a a nice break. :A
Thank you for your Christmas wishes

Phew, another Christmas day done. its been lovely actually, quite relaxing and it's flown by. Just ate too much dinner and now I look 7 months pregnant (I can assure you I am not) :rotfl: Just chilling now watching Home Alone. Well apart from the neighbours who have decided to do some form of DIY
Even managed a small sneaky payment to CC today. Rounded down account and thought why not. My CC doesn't care if its Christmas day or not
I hope you have all had a lovely day and have enjoyed some lovely quality time with loved ones and had some delicious food.

I never thought of that, I'll let them off then.
Just had a nice stroll with the dog too. Hes had too much turkey too
A bit spooky as its like a ghost town out there. Everyone sitting stuffed in front of the TV I expect.
A nice hot bath running and then to find something decent to watch on TV. DH is asleep on the settee I think he's worn out with all the Christmas preparations and cooking hes done. (not) :rotfl: Don't suppose I will find anything too exciting. Plenty of sale adverts on though, I will not be shopping in the sales I have a budget to stick too and sale or not I will be avoiding at all costs

Thanks Bob and well done you. You are doing amazing with your debt busting :T
I will definitely be around for another year and maybe another and so on
But there is light at the end of my long tunnel I am sure of it. It will just take time and I have to be patient.
A poster the other day who paid off over £103,000 said their debt free journey was as times
'like emptying a lake with a teaspoon'.
I have my teaspoon at the ready and will be emptying my lake one spoonful at a time.
Approaching my lake like this:
A ship and a teaspoon
A boat and a teaspoon
A canoe and a teaspoon
A raft and a teaspoon
A lilo and a teaspoon
Arm bands and a teaspoon
Wellies and a teaspoon
Finally a cloth to mop up the last few drops :T
Lets hope it doesn't keep raining and refilling my lake :rotfl:
