I can honestly say that I was worried about getting on the scales. I said to my DD that I will be disheartened if I haven't lost anything.
Although I did start to feel like I had lost a bit by the end of my week I was still sceptical.
I will certainly be continuing and I know that you always lose a little extra during the first week but It is a weight loss plan that I am going to stick to and am actually enjoying.
Heres to the start of week 2

I've been doing SW since July 2010 and been at target since December 2010 so nearly 6 years and still go every week but it's mainly for the social side of things now.0 -
Wow what an achievement. Well done you. I still have 1st 11lb to lose but am very confident that I WILL get there.
I have made lots of the recipes too and have found them easy and delicious so far.
I have even made the syn free ice cream :T

Congrats on the weight loss! :j SW seems to be the healthiest plan around, largely because it encourages people to eat rather than starve themselves. Hope it keeps going so wellRainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500

Hi ABA
I even made everyone SW curry and rice for dinner and no one even noticed
It really is the healthiest I have ever eaten.
I have also found it very easy so far.
I know the weight loss will slow down after the first week but hopefully it will keep coming down.

That's what I like about SW. The recipes are definitely family friendly. However, no need to stick to the SW recipes, you can make most of your "normal" meals SW friendly by doing things like swapping oil for frylight.
The thing I find hardest is the amount of bread you can have - it's quite high syn to have extra but you do get used to it.
You might be interested to join the MSE thread for SW on here. The current thread is "Be a Stunner for Summer with Slimming World" - it's in the Health and Beauty forum.

I might be a stunner by summer 2020 :rotfl:
I have substituted bread for dark rye rivita and cracker thins so far so good.
I will definitely check out the other thread. Thanks for the heads up

:hello:
Hi all
Payday today so all DDs have gone and loan payments have been made. need to add some to my snowball account and see how that is building.
Also we have just managed to upgrade OHs mobile to a sim only deal. A link on here to EE gave him unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, 16GB data AND a £90 Amazon voucher  He is already with EE so it was very straight forward Thanks :money:
My slimming world is still going well. I have made baked eggs, peppers and spinach bake. Its sounds awful but its delicious and very filling. Its also FREE so I can eat loads of it
Had another swim yesterday but have to pay now as my free 7 day trial is up. It is £4 very well spent though, I love it as its time for just ME.
Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine

12 month challenge if you're having the baked eggs etc as a meal why not have it with Free SW chips? Makes for a very filling dinner or lunch if you like to eat then. I would also add some mushrooms and maybe roasted tomatoes too.
Glad you're enjoying the swimming and as you £4 is a good price for ME time, most of us don't get enough of that!
That was a good deal your husband got on his mobile and as you say very :money:.
Have to enjoy the sunshine while we have it, never know how long it's going to last!0 -
joedenise I have added mushrooms and courgettes to it too. I think my body is quite shocked at all this healthy eating and I never thought of adding SW chips. I will next time.
I said to my OH that the money we are saving on his mobile I can have for swimming
The ME time is actually doing my mental state very good. Hopefully my physical state too :rotfl:SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Hi all
Sneaking back in to my diary and hoping no one notices how I've neglected it
Have been AWOL due to life, work and family illness getting in the way (Thankfully, not me or mine I have to add) but all has settled down now. ( Fingers crossed)
Anyway, I have caused NO damage financially and have been chipping away at my debt total slowly but surely. Even managing to buy Christmas presents early again. Wow is it really approx a year ago I was buying Xmas prezzies with MY money and not on CCs.
When I think how far I've come it makes me realise that I could've done this long ago. Still I have (I hope) finally got the hang of this money business and aim to carry on trudging right to the very end.
It can be a little depressing at times though as work colleagues are constantly on about how they have already booked their next years summer holiday. I have not even been tempted to book a holiday that I can ill afford. been there done that.
I will get much more joy when I can finally say I am debt free and am saving for a well deserved holiday.
Still sticking to my slimming world plan. I have now lost 19lb so far and have approx. 10lb to go whoop whoop :T
I hope you are all well
