You are so right Bob. Need to keep reminding myself that.

A work colleague of mine has paid her deposit for her hols and now pays £250 per month between her and her partner for the next 10 months

She is constantly saying how tight things are financially too. is it really worth it?

Anyway I will be saving for my next holiday and when I have the funds then I will go. I maybe about 85 by the time that happens but hey ho :rotfl:

So glad your total is now into 3 figures. Good on you and keep plugging away.

Hi Bear and thank you for reminding me I HAVE actually achieved something positive :D

Pay day tomorrow. I get paid early as the 15th falls on a weekend. This means my DDs don't go until Monday so it looks like we're rich over the weekend :rotfl:

The truth will out on Monday morning when my bank account shows the true readings but at least my bills are all paid eh.

I will then be making some extra payments towards my debt total and knock a little more off of it. :T

  • Will be spending some time tonight writing a grocery shopping list. Only the things we desperately need.

I need to dive into the freezer to see what is actually in there and not make a list based on what you only can see on the top when you open the lid. :o

Will also be cutting down on Christmas this year too. My 2 are far too old now to wake up to lots of presents. Although they do not expect it I feel like I should buy things so it makes it look a lot.

Anyway I have already asked them what they would like and they have given me a couple of ideas which will not work out too expensive. :)

I hope to have it all organised early again this year as I was very proud of myself last year. (and no CCs)

Actually looking forward to another 12 month challenge. When I look how far I've come it makes me determined to carry on, however long it takes me.

It actually feels good to have time to nose around MSE again.

I think it the same mindless mentality most people follow. Must have a car. Must go on holiday. Must buy new clothes and takeaway's. If you ask if they are happy they'd be surprised and have to think about it.

  • Hello diary world

Not too much excitement happening here. Still plodding away at my debt totals. was having a very good week so far until I arrived home from work to a traffic violation fine

Took a while to work out which one of us it was but it turned out to be the OH. Mind you I did get one a couple of year ago for the same thing :o

Anyway I've paid it while they say I can have it for half price.
Makes me feel like I've got a bargain at least. :rotfl:
