  • Hey all

Had a lazy day today. My energy levels are at an all time low I need a charger that I can plug into my toe as I rest. Zap my energy up again :rotfl:

I did manage to do the food shop, some housework (not all) :o
Walk the dog (well we got blown along out there)
Washing and Ironing done also :T

Added another small payment to CC, I aim to keep making small overpayments on this card. Its currently on 6.9% LOB so the more I pay, the less interest I incur. This card is the one that I hit with the most money on my snowball. The small extras I pay help to keep me focussed as I wait for my monthly statements to come in again. :)

DD has gone to London to see the musical Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I have to say I am very envious.

Still, I get to read the success stories on here for some inspiration and to learn some more good tips.

    Hello world

Have been in a daze for a few days. Maybe OH has added to my down mood (although he is back on the straight and narrow, for how long I don't know) but I think its just because I haven't made much progress financially.

I think when they were giving out patience I wasn't at the front of the queue :rotfl:

Every month I do this and start feeling :( My CC statements are due in within the next week or so and I am ready for them again so gotta sit tight and wait. I have an extra £117 this month and next due to my council tax being finished until April. This will be nice and will be used wisely.

I also received my new TV Licence which is until January 2017 and discovered I have paid all of it already :j This is just paying a little each week without noticing it really. I am continuing to pay my little amounts weekly so I will always be in front. (shame I wasnt this money savvy with CCs)

However after paying my statements this month with my snowball calculator I will have dropped into the next £1000 down in my debt total :D My pay debt by xmas challenge will go up again aswell.

There is progress I know and if I think about where I would be if I hadn't had my LBM  So shut up 12 month and get on with it.

There I have given myself a talking to and I will carry on plodding away.

I apologise for this very random post but I needed to get things right in my head ;)

Apparently we have snow coming :j I love snow it brings out the big kid in me

  • Hi and thank you Bob

I am trying to stay as positive as possible. OH has been very quiet and keeping out of everybody's way. It seems as he is being treated like a child but pardon me, if you act like a child you will be treated as such :D

Anyway I have paid one CC statement this month so am happy about that. It came in this morning so I paid it and knocked that one off my to do list.

I keep imagining what I will be like when I get to my DFD and what it will feel like. (bit premature I know) Little things like this helps to keep me going.

I have been doing surveys and only have about 3000 points still to get for my £50 :rotfl: I will get to that goal as well. I have not been screened out of one yet.

I aim to list a few more bits on ebay over the weekend and its pay day Monday so another bonus there. :)

Still haven't sorted car insurance as I am waiting for my renewal price to see where I go with that one. Will get it to the bare minimum if it kills me. ;)

Weekly budget to sort tomorrow and then I will sort my finances out again on Monday and see how much extra I will be able to pay towards something and get this debt down a little further :T

  • Morning all

Just had an interesting chat with BC called them up to close 2 CC accounts. The very nice lady tried very hard to encourage me to stay with them. No joy I stuck to my guns.

Until she said they will credit one account with a free £20 this account is somehow already £36 in credit. She will credit the other account with a free £50 and refund all of last months interest approx £40.

A free £110 + my £36 = £146 will be winging its way to my current account :j

Apparently they are in the process of sorting me out a good 0% deal too. I agreed to stay with them and once my extra funds have gone into my bank and if the 0% deal is not good enough I will ring again to close.

It would've been rude of me to refuse some free money :D
