  • Evening all :)

Not much exciting news tonight :(

I did however make a one off £10 payment to CC yesterday. It just gives me a little boost to keep me motivated. Its not a huge amount but its still £10 off my debt :D

I have been doing a few surveys and not been screened out of one yet. I have 525 points so far, only another 4475 to go to get my £50

On the plus side I have completed my snowball payments for this month and am squirrelling money away for next months. DS has just pinged over housekeeping. He pays it straight into my account otherwise I squander it if its sitting in my purse.

Determined to sort out freezers before I go shopping at the weekend. I bet I have dinners in them that I have overlooked, therefore buying unnecessary groceries.(need to keep on top of this one)

Is it Friday yet I'm shattered this week. Need an early night

    Hope everyone is well :)

  • Good evening :hello:

All good here thank you :) Yay to an extra payment to the CC :T

Paying off debt isn't very exciting a lot of the time, it's often a bit of a plod. As the lovely beanielou tells people "Keep plodding".

Not long until Friday. Think I need an early night too :)

  • Good afternoon all,
Im 26, with a young son. Got myself in a financial mess.
Have no idea where to start?! Have no idea how much I owe?! Kinda buried my head in the sand for long time, now its time to sort my life out. Any advice on what I should or can do would be ever soo grateful.

I want to get these debts paid so I can live my life.

    Kindest regards

    Lucie :)

Without hijacking the thread too much, I'd say go to main board and post an SOA; links on the board for that then people will give advice, that or start your own diary

  • :j Its Friday :j

Hi all and a very happy weekend to all that do not have to work.
    • I have my weekly budget - done
    • Weekly on line shop - done (within budget)
    • Lots of housework to do - not done yet
    • Lottery ticket bought and in the washing machine :rotfl: well I can try.

My pooch decided he wanted a walk, freezing cold and windy outside. Dragged my warmest coat out of the cupboard (not worn it for months) and found a screwed up £5 note in the pocket :T Potted it straight into my sealed pot. Thank you pooch :A

So far a good day. BUT when DD decided to get some newly delivered crisps from the cupboard she noticed the best before date is tomorrow  Ive only had them 3 hours. Will be getting on to my online account and politely telling them about this. Once my DS finds them they wont last longer than a day anyway :rotfl:

Thats not the point though. Maybe I will get a good will gesture

My snowball account is also doing ok at the moment. Payday not for a couple of weeks but I will have enough for February's snowball payments :T

OH has a birthday coming up so will be planning the funds for this also (nothing too extravagant)

  • Another small payment made to CC. :T These little payments throughout the month will make a difference in the long run i'm sure :)

As my target CC total goes down. My pay debt by Christmas challenge total goes up. :T I like this game

  • Morning all

Just popped to the little shops today. DD asked if I could pick her dry cleaning up and said I could keep the change for going. Felt like I was 10 years old again :rotfl:

Put the £1.50 change in my sealed pot for Xmas. Its feeling quite heavy now :D

Have also had a chat with OH about drawing the odd £10-£20 out of the bank during the week. This all adds up and so I have put some money in the cupboard for during the week (only if desperate for something) He has money and I have sorted the shopping and the other bits and pieces for the week.

Whatever is left in the bank on Friday when he gets paid again will be shared out for debt repayment etc.

Whatever is left in the cupboard (if any) will be added to for next week and so on. All this makes sense to me anyway :rotfl:
    Its worth a try
