September 2015 Grocery Challenge

Well the first shop of the month has been done, and across three different supermarkets and the butchers I've spent the grand total of £19.31. Should be enough for the humans of the household for the week, with everything we've already got in, but the dog food for the month still needs to be bought and that'll eat a largish chunk of the budget (he's a greedy so and so!)0

Hella all,
Can I be included in this months grocery Challenge please?
My budget, just for myself, is £150 for the month up to 26th September.
I've already spent £40 of that on a shop in the M&S food court. it's not my usual shopping destination, but I've been virtually housebound after a recent op and jumped at the opportunity to shop with a friend who wheeled me around!
I got a "£5 off a £25 shop" voucher for m&s for next week, but I'm not sure I will use it, as its a pretty expensive place, even though the food is great quality.
My budget is going to be a bit tight this month, as I need some cleaning stuff, and I'll be dependent on Tossco deliveries as I can't carry anything.
I've got masses of meat and fish in a stuffed freezer, but I'll need a biggish shop this week with lots of store cupboard staples and drinks. I'm determined to keep it at around £40 though, so as to avoid paying their inflated delivery surcharge!
Good luck to everyone this month!2025 goals

I'm in! Last month I set myself a target of £30 per week, and totalled £140.61/£150.00. Given that, and that I still want to reduce the spending, the target is coming down to £28 per week. I do a weekly shop on a Saturday, four weekends in September, so my target for the month is £112.00.Debt tracker ~ June 2015: £9,577.83 ~ January 2016: £7,913.22 ~ 17.38% debt paid!

Hi everyone and good luck for September.
Can I go for £250 again please for full calendar month.
Just managed Aug with almost £10 left.
Have noticed that we have been throwing a few things away over last month or two so will be keeping a close eye on this and will make a note of what we throw away and the cost of it for now. Need to nip this in the bud quickly before it escalates.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Oooh. Must have been too small £200 for this month please. 2 adults, 1 large dog. It's been a long time since I've done this, but bills are creeping up.
I have lots in the house already so should be fruit and veg mainly.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hello everyone!
First shop of September at Aldos today spent £30.96 stuck to the list got everything apart from pitta bread and strong white flour so just got a wholemeal loaf brewing in the breadmaker and with that and the wraps already have am sure I can survive without pittas this wk. Only thing might need to grab this wk is washing powder.
Happy with what we got and the amount spent, still got meat in freezer from last month and splitting £180 into 5 wks works out at £36 per week meaning so far so good
What a grotty day am off to the kitchen to do some prepping/batch cooking. :cool:NST#14/20 -
Hi
Please could I be put down for 250
DH has just been on a sneaky trip to town and spent £50 on total junk, absolute rubbish and most of it will hit the bin come friday. I am so cross. What a waste. There is a loaf of bread we will eat, out of date tonight and already looking stale, and lots of cream out of date in 2 days. I could weep. Packet ham, that will never be opened.
The dog will enjoy it in a few days.
So frustrating doing this by myself.0
