    I'm over as well - by £51.81! Must try harder.... And October is half term, Hallowe'en and probably family visiting. Oh dear.

    Congrats to everyone who did it!

    By pay day (the 28th), I had £11.16 left out of the £300, but by the 30th I only had £1.76. Still, I came in under the £300 with a final spend of £298.24 so am extremely pleased!

    Problems for me were: not being more organised with getting cash from the bank for DS2's bus fare so I kept going to the shop to get change;
    Finding bugs in my flour when I went to make bread :(:mad: (I felt worse than when I found headlice in the boys' hair!) and needing to buy bread instead. And throw away all the cereal stuff from the cupbaord, oh, and the icing sugar. Will only replace gradually as needed!

    Just finished off my September accounts

    Budget was £244.90, of which I hoped to not exceed £200 with no more than £105 being spent in shops.

    I'm declaring at just £156.40, with £105.51 spent in shops. More than happy with the very small shop overspend though, as Monday alone I accounted for an £18.12 spend on items that I'll get £7.50 cashback on (I don't deduct cashback) - and the majority of those items will spread over at least the next 6 months

    Well by some stroke of working out (kids being away mostly) I only spent £84 so was well in my budget and spent the extra on some Christmas food bits.
    Not sure with DS home for 2 weekends this month I will be able to spend so little again but will try and keep my shopping to a minimum.
    Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

    Spent £106.86 which I am really pleased with. Based on spends so far (all DH) October is going to be nowhere near as successful!
