Am loving the difference that meal planning is making so far! And I've only been planning Monday-Weds! Next month will try planning full weeks and see how that goes
Nearly halfway through the month and I've not spent half my budget, just £80.46 so far, which is great!
Glad to see everyone else doing well too, good luck for the rest of the month0 -

Hi guys, hope all is well!
Broke my laptop charger and didn't get my new one till today so only just getting caught up! I've been spending far too much money!
Kept all my receipts to add up the damage. In my defence, I'm having a Halloween party and it includes lots of decorations and stuff for that.
Freezer is full, cupboards are full, fridge isn't too bad. Need to do meal plan for this week.
Some of my shops have included lots of baking stuff for a McMillan coffee morning i'm helping to host.
After add the receipts I've spent a HUGE £190.79 which brings my total up to £226.88/£400.00
Im gonna have to calm it now. My sons birthday next week and have stuff to buy for that, however I did need some of these large food shops because my freezer and cupboards were nearly empty at the begining of the month!
Gonna put the £173.12 in a purse if I can, and make sure I just use that.
Hope everyone else is being thrifty!!

Got milk on Thursday, went to L*dls on Friday and DH got some toiletries from H*me Barg**ns too.
Current totals are:
Argh I KNEW this hadn't saved properly before it crashed the other day
I've got another spend to add anyway as DH got milk and wraps today. Normally I make my own but I've been busy/knackered for the last few days so hadn't got round to it.
So as I was saying, current totals are:
FOOD: £71.05 / £120
TOILETRIES/HOUSEHOLD: £10.47 / £15
CAT: £11.39 / £15
We will have to increase the cat budget next month if I can't get her back on dried food- it's not a realistic budget for wet food.
Really happy with the L*dls shop as got £5 off with their deal/trial fob thing. And I didn't know about it til I got to the till so it's all stuff I'd have got anyway
Tentatively hopeful for this month. We've overspent a little so far, but I can definitely pull it back.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
