No spends to report since the start of the week
well none on GC anyway, lots of other spends given that our car failed it's MOT and needed some work, sigh.
Felt really tired and was struggling a bit today (bump has gotten MASSIVE the last couple of weeks), so OH fed him and his brother (who was visiting) some sausage pasta - the sauce was from the freezer. Well we thought it was sausage pasta but it turned out to be chilli con carne! By all accounts it was quite nice with spaghetti :rotfl:
I had some spaghetti dressed in oil, lemon and chilli with feta, olives, peas and walnuts tossed through. DeliciousPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I hope it's ok for me join at this late stage. I have a little grocery purse. I have budgeted £330 for the month for 2 adults and 1 thirteen year old. This is for food and household stuff but not cat supplies. I realise that this is far too much. I still have £30 left. I have no need to buy anything. So will try to use up what I have and not spend the £30. Will pay a bill hopefully. Will try to go for less next month, maybe 290? I have 5 freezers :eek::eek::eek::0

So annoyed that the bag of Jacket Potatoes I bought to last me through the month have sweated and gone rotten. What a waste! Could be my fault for storing them wrong?
Also realised that I've not been counting my work lunches as grocery budget in my spending diary so I've not really saved as I've eaten out for lunch every day this week! Oops, will have to make this part of next months challenge - got a bit of an addiction to M&S Brie and grape sarns...
GC budget looking ok, and only spent an extra £6.09 in Tesco this week.0 -
nsd yesterday, yippee!!0

Hi all
Havent checked in for a while but I am keeping a close eye on things! I was hoping for £250 this month. I have spent £211 so far.
We have enough food for 5 evening meals and there are 12 days left. There is plenty of rice, pasta, potatoes etc. We will need a few bits for packed lunches .. I think I might go slightly over budget but shouldnt be far off.0 -
Stocked up the freezer with the shop this morning, so pleased that it came to just £25.42 after a £5 voucher.
For the month, I'm now at £70.62. With a target of £112 and one shop to go, I'm well ahead!Debt tracker ~ June 2015: £9,577.83 ~ January 2016: £7,913.22 ~ 17.38% debt paid!
2016 debt target ~ clear the loan ~ start: £3,082.04 ~ January 2016: £2,927.15

Did you leave them in the bag? I've done that and they rot really quickly. I store mine in a basket to allow air to circulate. I was told to keep them in a cupboard or somewhere dark to stop them going green or sprouting, but TBH we eat loads of spuds, so this hardly ever happens.
I did a shop for minus money yesterday :j Well, got things at the SM towards Christmas presents, which aren't part of my grocery budget, so a £26.10 grocery spend (part of a total spend of £58.08) turned into a £4.90 "profit" using special deals and coupons - a good result! Have adjusted my signature to show the results of my couponing efforts0
