  • Pleased that you're feeling better today DNMS.
I know how awful it is when you've had your confidence knocked - it's hard to pick yourself and get back on with things again. But be proud of yourself - you've got applications on the go, and you have had a fantastic month with your money as well. I know that you've had a bad experience in the past, but remember that the future is yours to take. It's hard not to take rejection personally but I'm a firm believer that when the right job arrives then it will be yours.
  • Bob you have such a good way of looking at life and I am so susceptible to other people's ideas! :rotfl: You are absolutely right and have switched my thought process. Any cash I make is less out of my savings - simple when it's laid out in front of me :T

I submitted another job application yesterday, and it wasn't as torturous as the first one on Thursday :T I've also arranged to go and meet with a careers advisor at the uni I went to to discuss postgrad options :)

This weekend nothing planned except more work around the house. Oh is going to take some bits to the tip and clear out the garage a little....

Things to be grateful for over the last 24 hours:

    1. oh & I shared a lovely bottle of wine last night which I picked up on offer. Need to write down what it is for future reference!

    2. I completed a 2nd job appl

    3. dgd was a little angel while I was doing the job application. She was given a princess play house tent thingy for her birthday which has just been in the larder for a couple of months. So we set it up and made it into a little den with her blankets, pillows, teddies & tea set and that gave me a good 1/2 hour to complete it ;)

    4. I picked up a little cow egg & spoon set for dgd for £1.49. She has just discovered the joys of egg & soldiers :)

Ok think I'm going to go and have a soak in the bath and then start the day

    Hi Determined

Wow you sound like a new woman! Amazing what a bit of time to think can do. I love the sound of your walks in the woods. There are so many beautiful trees near us that are all on the turn..one bright red one in particular I always like to look at.

Hope you have a good weekend and fingers crossed for the job.
