Offered 40 Mbs Fibre/BT Sport in HD(on Sky)/Anytime calls for £34.98 on live chat. HD didn't appear so I rang & was told offer was wrong - should be £38.48. Reluctantly accepted, but HD still didn't appear, so rang again. This time I was told it should be £39.48 & I had basic broadband, not Fibre! I did a speed test and it was 41 Mbs - quick for basic! Someone's supposed to be ringing me back, but after speaking to 8 people, so far, none of whom could sort it out I'm switching to Plusnet for £23.99 + £8 anytime calls (incl to mobiles unlike BT) + £5 for BT Sport app (which can put the pic on my TV via Chromecast) = £36.99 with £80 back from TopCashBack. Eqiv £32.55. Goodbye BT! Bt's customer service is useless.0

Are you getting the full BT Sports HD package via PN ??0

Are you getting the full BT Sports HD package via PN ??
Yes, you get the full package on the app in HD for £5/mth or you can get it on Sky for £9.99/mth + £2.50 for HD. You can get it on their TV packages too. Free for BT Sport 1. £5 for the full package incl the app. https://www.plus.net/tv/btsport/
Plusnet is the only viable option to BT if you want BT Sport.0 -

Oh dear! Despite their website still showing the prices I quoted above, Plusnet are increasing their charges on 17 Sept for the app & access via their TV package by 100% to £10. I think the price through Sky is staying the same. This has messed my calculations up. I rang & asked why they didn't mention this when I signed up, but they had no answer. Their 'award-winning customer service' isn't working for me! As I can now get BT Sport in HD on Sky and the app with BT for marginally more than with just the app with Plusnet, I've decided to swallow my pride and stay with BT. :eek:0 -
Dont forget that you have agreed to a BT price increase in March 2020 based upon the Jan RPI .
Its part of the contract you have agreed to .

From 11 January 2019 if you're a new customer or re-contracting mobile, broadband or landline, you’ll see new terms and conditions that tell you that your prices will increase by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) each year. This is an annual increase with the first increase impacting customers starting from March 2020.
Each year we will adjust the amount you pay per month according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation. This rate is announced in January each year and we will adjust your bill by this amount in March of the same year. For example, if the CPI rate announced in January 2020 is two per cent, then your monthly payments from March 2020 will increase by two per cent.<<
Note as you agree to this increase it does not come under the OFCOM price increase get out rules.0 -
My current package with BT ends in May 2020 and i'm currently paying £13.50 for superfast 2 broadband (even though i told them when i renewed last year that I cannot even get 52MBs as my line speed tops out at about 33mbs but they gave it for the same price so i decided to nto argue and just go along as the lady seemed to keep pushing it) plus i paid line rental saver of around £218-220 so overall works out to £29.99 a month i'm paying when others are doing it for around £23.99 for both line renatal & fibre. I'm goign to phone them in Nov and see IF i renew my line rental, will i get a refund if i leave in May or not (Online chat said yes i'd get a refund but want to confirm with someone) otherwise i'll just pay monthly and then look to leave, unless they offer me a option to renew contract in Nov for a better price i.e £5 a month + line rental saver

No ALR refund if you just cancel or leave in May .
52 meg service is UP TO speed.33 to 52 will make very little difference to you .
Your current BT package probably has a built in March 2020 price increase that you agreed to .0 -
Thank Jj Egan, i think it was the superfast 2 they put me on whcih is up to 67mb which i cannot get. It possible does, i signed up to it in Nov 2018 so maybe it does, i forget. I'll probably not renew the line rental saver then if i wont get the money back, unless they offer to renew my contract at a more suitable price etc.
Thanks
