Currently paying £29.99pm for SF Unlimited. Phoned up today and was offered SF Unlimited 2 for the same price, no discount on my existing package and no wireless door bell (apparently this is only available to 2000 targeted customers).
RPI increase cannot be opted out of as it's standard in all new contracts however was advised that I would be contacted in advance of any price increase and given the choice to negotiate or leave.0 -

I would want that in writting as i dont believe it comes under the Ofcom rule re price increases.
That is leave without penalty .0 -

Good point, I didn't sign up. Said I'd think about it and let them know. Though, they didn't state "without penalty" and I'm not optimistic they would agree to this concession for an individual consumer.0 -
My contract is up next month and I tried to renew earlier but the offers were atrocious. £41.99 for standard broadband, line rental and BT sport. Does this sound correct? It seems an awful lot more expensive than I expected it to be. Has anyone recently renewed with BT and at what price?0

fwiw, a friend's BT superfast fibre contract & line rental ends next month too. They spoke to BT recently and best they could offer was £36.99 for fibre and line rental. Extra £5 pm for 500 minutes of calls. BT agent advised them to call them back next month when there may be better deals available. January may be poor time for deals. March perhaps better as it is end of quarterly accounting period for many firms.

Thanks, I'll have a think. The problem I have is that my contract is up on 28/2 so to cancel I will need to give 30 days notice otherwise I'm paying £55 a month!
I haven't but will check it out, thanks.0 -
I renewed my broadband (fibre and rental), via the website, a couple of weeks ago. Basically exactly what I am paying at the moment. Line Rental Saver also renewed, I am now paying £16 per month including the 500 minute calls option. Went through very smoothly, latest bill is for even less.0
