I guess I will find the same. My Contract with BT ends on 2 August, I'd stay with them but other providers are offering the same package at a cheaper price.0

You will find exactly the same when you leave sky.
It does not pay to stay.
Though I tend not to move much becuause all of these companies are bargain basement and you get what you pay for. (BT just charge mid teir prices for bottom tier service, may as well use plusnet which is the other way round!)0 -
Both BT and Sky intentionally wear you down with there renewal system it is what they do.
It is like a game....to me it is a waste of my time, and that was the first thing I said to Sky recently.0 -

Indeed, I said match your offer letter I will get month or so after leaving and I will stay.
They said no. I left and came back later. (the web site was down I I had to repeatedly contact to get the £10 off for a web chat reconnection like they promissed).
Not me that watches it but I expect the same next year. By which time hopefully they will have launched an internet only version at a decent cost/quality, but I won;t hold my breath. (there current sky/now apps don't paint a good picture and says they agreed to insane DRM to protect things that are out there before they show it).0 -
It might be because the retentions team don't get involved until you actually cancel.
Thats the way it works .
But you can phone ask for complaints and ask to cancel /Then get a good deal as you are then dealing with retentions .
But it also depends upon who you get as some go the extra mile .Especially if you are a nice caller .
Dropped my price year on year .
But the price rise get out is now gone as all BT contracts now have a built in yearly price increase .0 -
I've got a contact in the BT Community that I ping every time my contract is up. My contract that has just expired was £31.99 per month ... £21.99 for Fibre 1 and £10 for TV Entertainment Plus ... Sports was free due to an account mess-up.
I also tried 150 this time and asked for the Customer Options team (in Glasgow) ... they started with "The best we can offer is £29.99 for BB+LL ..." so I stopped them right there and told them I'd already had a better offer via the Community.
Latest deal I've now got is £33.99 per month, 18 month contract:
£21.99 Unlimited Fibre 1 inc. Land line (no point is going any higher - my line won't support the higher speeds as distance to the FTTC cabinet is too great)
£12.00 TV Max HD, which includes HD channels and BT Sports (inc. HD channels).0 -
Hi
BT contract ending 9th August. I have just been offered £25 pm for Fibre, Line Rental and Bt Sports plus £15 credit as a gesture of good will for renewing
Is this a good deal?
Thanks0 -
Line Rental is circa £19/£20 pm.
What fibre what BT Sports .
Doubt if you would get better .
Be aware you are also agreeing to an RPI based price increase March 2020.0 -

Is the fibre FTTC or FTTP?0
