Just negotiated my third deal with Sky, managed a 40% reduction, about £36per month and was upgraded to Sky Q. Relented on free calls evenings & weekends because we don't use the landline and gave up the Children's option as we have no kids left at home!0

Is this a good deal for a new customer or do you think I can do better? I have everything except sports. I got £10 knocked off because they messed me around with install dates, they've messed me around AGAIN today so just wondering whether I can haggle any more - or is this the best they'll do? (I don't have phone/broadband with them).
Sky Entertainment £20.00
Sky Q Multiscreen Pack £12.00
Sky Kids £0.00
Sky HD £0.00
Sky Box Sets £5.00
Sky Cinema £10.00
Sky Messing Me Around Discount -£10.00
Total cost: £37pm for 18 months.0 -

I would ring them up and tell them you want cancel the whole lot due to being messed about twice.
If they don't offer you anything better than you were offered then complete the cancelation as you have not had Sky installed so you can't say you will miss it as you have never had it to start with.
If you do cancel try again in a few weeks untill you get a better offer that is a good price for you and and don't worry about what other people are paying as Sky charge different prices to loads of people for the same package.0 -

Like you say I’ve never had it so you can’t miss what you’ve never had.0 -

Just an update on this - I have now been given 3 months free (£111 credit), they have waived the £20 installation fee & have reduced my monthly payment to £32 a month. I am pleased with this - the Sky Q box is excellent. :T
It did take a LOT of complaining & haggling though! I do feel this is warranted though after two botched install attempts.0 -

This is a good deal, no doubt about it.
But I still say with a smart TV (for built in Iplayer and catch up TV apps) and Netflix beats any current sky deal hands down.

Hi I have had Sky BB for 2 years now. Not fibre. For the last year I negotiated a £15 a month deal, which was, as far as I remember a hike on the previous deal, but I paid to avoid the hassle of changing.
Other half phoned to cancel and the best deal they would do was £20 per month which is a 33% hike in my book! He went ahead with the cancellation as there are deals around the £15 mark with cashback etc, and they made no further offers
Two questions
1 Are they likely to ring/email and make a better offer?
2. There cancellation email states
"Please note it can take up to ten working days for the broadband service to be removed from your phone line, after which your new provider will be able to take over your phone line." which sound like they intend to deliberately block the line for 10 days" If they are stopping the service surely it should be immediately transferable?

You need to find a new supplier and sign up and they'll handle the change over. Otherwise you could end up with termination and restart costs for the line and you'll lose your phone number.0 -
Hi. I am not bothered about the phone number. Never used it. However what on earth are termination costs, also I was looking at the Post Office deal and they say we need a new line anyway and will charge £20 so had factored that in, and assume that is the restart cost you mention?. Thanks for replying.0
