scottyboydfc,if you've got Sky Q you will be the 1st I've heard of getting a monthly discount on the Q mini box however if it's just sky HD then that's doable.:)

Just good old Sky HD, I'd happily pay the extra for a Sky Q mini if it was on offfer..They said the only SkyQ offer at the moment was 30% off the bundle.
  • Nothing wrong with Sky hd the only advantage we use on Q is the numerous channels you can record from simultaneously.:)

With the number of simultaneously recordable channels offered, there probably won't be time to watch them all unless you sofa surf all day.

The only good point, I can see, is the ability to find the remote. Ours is always hiding, as black side up blends in so easily.

If they drop the monthly fee as an offer you can bet your bottom dollar that the 'activation fee' will rise.

It's £19.95 'set-up' for ADSL & Unlimited Fibre but £59.95 for Limited Fibre & Unlimited Fibre Max.

It'll change again next week no doubt.

I think originally the fibre price was around £19 including the new modem required, but they have put the lot up in price and I have never paid admin before, either on renewal or leaving and returning soon after (in the case of tv).

The activation price is fixed , so a deal on % reduction (which I will insist on having quoted, ether than just the price to pay) won't affect it.

However,£9.99 of this is for a modem, which I have ,so don't need, leaving the £10, which most have managed to have removed.

It will all be down to total cost, between Sky and PlusNet, as the latter has improved lately, giving me a lever, should the speeds drop again.

Sky have just called to offer 50% off but again no offer on the multiroom. Told them politely that I wouldn't be accepting until they could match my current 50% off everything deal.

Here's hoping that they do before 6th October, which is when it is scheduled to go off :)

Why hope they offer before 6th October ? Surely going off for a while wouldn't be a great tragedy, especially as you are likely get a better offer and tv can be reinstated immediately.

Only if you have the 2tb box.:(

Fair point I guess, as I'm more than happy to let it go completely if I can't get it at the price that I want it for. Other half might not be so keen on this idea mind you :rotfl:

Same here. Greedy lot aren't we, but it isn't an essential and I hate wasting money ? My husband doesn't care, as he rarely watches Sky (he was warned off in the early days, in case he inadvertently bought something, so leaves it to me and uses Freeview.)
  • Sky offered me

Box Sets package + Sports HD + Internet for £47, but I only pay £27 currently for the same without Box sets & HD Sports (I have regular sports) - I can't really justify the extra £20 so saying no

I have had Sky Q with Box sets, Sports HD, Cinema, multiscreen - basically the lot - for £35 for the last 12 months. It was due to go up to £92 next month so I rang to cancel.

Anyway I accepted the box sets package with multiscreen but no cinema or sports for £34.80 per month. As I already have a 2TB and 2 extra mini boxes it seemed a decent deal. I've found I spend more time watching box sets, the catch up services and normal recordings than sport or films anyway
