I'm so thrilled that you and DD had a wonderful time in London Tink, it sounds like she had a magical birthday and I'm sure it will be something she remembers forever!

Thank goodness you got the all clear from the docs too - you can breath a huge sigh of relief and start to get excited for Christmas and a lovely few nights at your moms. Fingers crossed the dogs behave for you :) xx

  • Happy Birthday to DD and glad that your London trip was good. And even better that you've had such good news from the Drs. Now look after yourself during this cold weather, it is so frosty and chilly right now and there seem to be lots of bugs going around.

  • Hi Tink,

College! Daughter's birthday! A trip to London! All clear health wise. :T It is all happening on your diary. Well done on all counts. It sounds like you had such a lovely trip to London. The lights and shop windows are spectacular at this time of year. You deserved a lovely time as you planned, had NSDs and saved for it. Go Tink, go Tink (doing that dance that goes along with the Go Tinks) :D

DIA puts it so well by listing your recent achievements. So much good stuff in a short space of time. Well deserved too.

I really hope all goes well with dog meetings and that they're soon just into standard sibling rivalry. You've com so far this year in how your life is going. MTxx
  • Thank you everyone. Wow DIA, it's amazing seeing it all there how much I have achieved, thank you for pointing that out. I will definitely return to this page if I ever have a down day and remind myself just how well I have done.

And, how far have I come since the start of this diary!! I don't even feel like the same person anymore.

Another good day in college today and I have homework to do lol. I'm really enjoying it and in the next couple of weeks I will have a student discount card :j:j Hopefully that will help with the debt busting next year. December I am just going to concentrate on sticking to budget and buying presents. Luckily I don't have a big family so only have a couple of presents to buy. I will have to remind myself not to go mad on DD this year though. My mum always says I get her too much, I don't think I do but after her having London as her birthday she knows she isn't getting as much this year. I don't spend a fortune, I just like lots of stocking fillers.

Going to get cracking over at mums this weekend. If the weather is nice we will be sorting her shed and moving my stuff over, if not, I'm going to get the inside of the built in wardrobes painted, freshen them up a bit. Then Sunday get the dogs together. Keep your fingers crossed for this last one lol.

    Take care.

  • Ok I have just thought about this as I was writing on another diary. If all my money is budgeted for during the month of December can I class the whole of December as NSD's?? I am going to join the December challenge if I can get my head round this bit.

I also forgot I was going to ask for some advice for when I move into my mums. Her house is a cold house and I hate being cold. She has the gas fire lit in the living room and will put the heating on during the evening for a short while but she hates going to bed in a warm bedroom whereas I love it. I was just wondering if there is an electric heater/radiator that is very economical to run that I could use for half an hour before going to bed. I don't want one of those blow heaters as I don't like them but am I right in thinking that there are some kind of plug in radiator type things that are cheap to run?

  • I swear by my electric blanket. I know, a bit old ladyish but I put it on for a bit before bed time and it so toasty I love it!!

    Glad you enjoyed college :)

  • @tinkerbelle: I don't think you can class the whole of Dec as NSD until after you confirm you have not spent? It's up to you to define NSDs but there's always unexpected stuff happening.
