It's irrelevant whether I approve of an extravagant foreign wedding. The point is, your OH agreed to the same costs that you did, and he let you down. Has he explained why he did this? If he doesn't have what you think is a damn good reason, you should perhaps think about divorce, before he walks away with half your assets and leaves you broken-hearted.
At the moment, you're still talking about "your" house. It belongs to both of you now. The longer the marriage lasts, the more likely a court would award half of it to him. If you are having doubts, you need to do something about them.0 -
known him 20. together 2 and it is bothering me a lot, you are all right he has to pay his way plan and simple. As this is my house that I have all but paid for I do not want him living here full time as need to downsize and move to one level due to my disability beit it alone or with him
Lemontart,
Obviously there is more about your relationship that we don't know, but speaking as someone who has had a lot of financial issue due to my ex being utterly horrific with money(I know I wasn't faultless either)... Especially with you Having to ensure your next home meets your disability needs. Then I would ensure that you sort your next steps with what your finances allow - regardless of your partner. At least that way, his mistakes/inability won't jeopardise your future. XxxPlease be nice to all moneysavers!
