That said I had a declined SIM and MiFi purchase from CarPhoneWarehouse which I then disputed. It took a long long time (6 months or so) but I did just recently get £60 credit from it.
I also got £5 from TCB when Ovivo went bust. That was entirely ex-gratia.
I think cashback sites are honest enough but you won't always get best value by using them. I certainly don't make any purchases based on the all-too-frequent emails. If I want something I check around for the best deals and then factor in any cashback offers before deciding how to buy.
I already put into practice all things you mention and still failing to track. Again, I will say my experience with TCB is the big purchases fail to track.0 -
Every time I do a cash back transaction over £5 it always fails to track. I use just eat quite a lot and have no problems with cash back but these are for very small amounts. Bought a fire stick for NowTV and upgraded to Sky Cinema. Now the latter is a £50 cash back. You have guessed it failed to track.
Once the claim fails and it will because I get the impression there is never any intention of paying out I will be leaving.
Don't touch them with a barge pole0 -
I've had to chase a few untracked claims over a fiver too.
The last one (it was a while ago tbf) was eventually declined by the merchant due to an 'invalid order number'
I went straight back to them, and disputed it, saying 'how could it be an invalid order no, when it was given by the merchant themselves, and was also emailed by them as a confirmation number too?'
It took a while, and after a few nudges, the money was paid eventually.
It's worth pestering them over it.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
