Does everyone have this amount of clothes?

Splitinfinty - your pomposity makes me chuckle. I suspect that your idea of stylish clothing runs more at the "Designers at Debenhams" level rather than Armani Collezioni.
Top tip - don't brag about the cut of your collars and cuffs if you have just bought them from a high street chain store, it just makes you look silly. I've got knickers that cost more than a TM Lewin shirt
Brag = "my knickers are better than your shirts" (Pomposity eh?)
Humility = "I've reduced my wardrobe and aim to buy clothing of good quality" I never for once suggested I buy top tier designer clothing. In fact in post #145 I specifically say "I do my research, make up my mind on the level of quality and price I am willing to pay, and then live and learn from my mistakes"
Your understanding of certain words in the English language is the only thing to be chuckled at here. Perhaps also laughable is the fact that you think that only Armani is classed as high quality and you can only get quality clothing by buying an italian designer brand and paying top dollar - which is laughable at best. Remind me again, why you are even browsing a site that is called "Money Saving Expert"?
The irony of your post is you start by calling out my pomposity and then you start bragging about how you spend ridiculously on your knickers. I buy 100% cotton, pack of 3 boxers at Tesco F&F clothing for £9 (so £3 each). Who's the pretentious one here?
Top tip: Don't make supercilious statements when attempting to use a logical fallacy to attempt to make someone out as a bragger. Especially when that person quite clearly states that they are not trying to be snobbish, but just aim to have a comfortable minimal wardrobe.0 -

Looks like your winter (or any) evenings don't pass by quick. Keep trying to poke holes in other peoples relationships, it is surely the better option than finding an OH or being happy in life.
You have yet to answer any of my counter arguments to you. like post #164 and #174. And there are yet more poeple on the thread, saying they bounce ideas with their OH's and yet you still seem to assume that this is somehow bad for a couple. Please explain how this is so, using your pseudo-psychology, doctorbiggles.
Don't worry about me - happily married for nearly 30 years - possibly because of more interesting things to discuss than where to put the dining table or what clothes suit us.:D0 -

Oh, I'm not worried at all. Trolling comes quite high up on the list of things of important things to do. You have yet to respond to my points, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5302256

Like I said there are other people who seem content to discuss things with their OH, so what your problem is with me and my misses I do not understand.Gloomendoom wrote: »Mrs G uses each other as clothes sounding boards too... and I am brave enough to say NO, as is she. Some of the clothes she gets the most complements in have been bought by me which, more often than not, results in surprised looks when other women ask where she got them.
She will always ask for my opinion when doing a wardrobe cull too.
To be honest, I really do not expect a coherent response any more. Jumping to conclusions and being a troll on a money saving forum, need no logical explanation.0 -

Indeed, I have a similar pair that I wear on board, with shorts and t-shirt in hot climates. If it's a cold climate cruise, I'd wear trainers or walking shoes with jeans and a top.0

Yay my purple sandals are still being discussed on page 9. Not bad for somebody as unstylish as me
I really want some but can only find the kids' ones *sigh* I do like purple!

Most people wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time apparently. If you are struggling to cull, a tip is to put the stuff you think you may want to get rid of in a box and then maybe somewhere like a loft. If you have not missed the clothes in six months' time or cannot even remember what's in the box, you should get rid of it.0

I have small feet and often wear kids size shoes.
I want (or maybe even need) those purple sandals.0 -
Where? Where? :kisses3:

This seller hasn't got the right size, but worth having a Google / other eBay search. These are a bargain for the brand, all leather and very comfortable. I've also got small feet!

Thanks LilElvis, but those aren't purple (and not Ecco, I don't think).
Also, they're toe post so not ideal for trekking (not on my feet, at least).
I have googlerd purple ecco sandals but those exact ones aren't coming up.
Looking at the photo by onlyroz, I think they might be Ecco Offroad Lite but I can't find any purple ones. They're not on the Ecco website.
I have 4 or 5 pair of trekking sandals (Karrimor, Teva, Nike) but I really fancied the purple ones.0 -

Sorry! They do/did come in purple too, but can't seem to find a pair. Just thought they might be of interest as they do come in small sizes. They are made by the Spanish brand, Camper.0
