I see :] that is good
Personally i don't have a spread sheet or anything
I have an accountant who sorts out everything for me come year of end.
in terms of income i try save 50% of what ever i turn over this is to cover tax/NI then come year what ever is left over i can spend or keep for the payment on account nonsense lol
i do this knowing i can work out anytime through out the year how much i could use if needs be like a safety blanket i guess its my money till my bill comes in so try to make it work best i can
Keep things simple i do save 50% pay myself 50% with a slight bonus at end of the year if all goes well :]
doing this house up tho has made me use more some months than i normally would but ill even it out over the months i do no work to the house
overkill but it makes me sleep easier at night :]Mortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800

I'm my accountant's worst nightmare and can see why after reading that, Ali.
As for the girls, I'd not imagined that teenage girls would behave in such a way, to be honest. Pleased to hear something is being done about it, though.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Whilst I do understand the sentiment I'm not really sure what that would achieve, to be honest.
Sorry to hear of the bother, but hope you have it sorted now.
Just incase, would like to tell you about a work collegue's daughter being bullied, this went on without her knowing for some time, then she found out. And as shangaljimmy suggested, she went straight round to the bullies house and spoke to the parents, in an unusual (unexpected) turn, the parents were completely horrified and took the victim's side, spoke to their daughter - made her apologise - and say that, it wouldn't be happening again. Then told the victim and mother that if they had any problems again, then to come straight round to them and they would sort it out !!!
Unexpected, to say the least, but if you don't try, you never know, it could, of course, went the other way and told them to ... go away(for the want of a better word).

I think it would depend on if you knew the parents or not and whether they were 'ok' - if parents turned up at mine, I would be the same, I'd be horrified at my child..DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Spot on DFOD - the ringleader shows great potential for a career at HMP's pleasure
. The other 2 girls, their parents might be more in line with A Frayed Knot's colleague's experience.
Weekly food shop done with a nice low spend of £16.52. Meal plan done and no DIYers to feed or cake to make.
On the accounts front, mine charges a sliding scale on how much work he has to do/how complicated the accounts are, so I get cheapest rate by supplying it all done and he checks, amends as necessary and transfers info to the tax return and submits.
Right, off to run DS down to school and back for ironing his shirt he needs for this afternoon!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Go me...I drove the 60 mile round trip today :T. Does nothing for eeking out petrol usage though :rotfl:. Only slight feeling was a lurching of stomach on acceleration...which is odd for a 1.0L engine that takes 10 secs 0-60 and was a relatively slow journey through busy villages and more roundabouts than Milton Keynes :rotfl:
Lovely ceremony for the interrment, even lovelier home made cake afterwards. Got pre-Christmas family lunch date sorted and invited cousin (GA's daughter) and her DH to join us - 22 for turkey and trimmings now
DS's morning went well and we may strike it lucky with his week's work placement next summer in a fab global company that is only 15 mins up the road and gives him a great insight into an alternative career that is bringing up the rear to his first choice. These opportunities to speak to school staff out of pressured appointments are worth their wait in gold
Weird incident tonight...knock at the door, women asking if there was a teenage girl here, she's given our address as being a party she is at. Said she didn't want the police turning up waking us in the night looking for her here . Not sure what to think...related to the bullying or hopefully just a coincidence in timing.
Lazy dinner out of the freezer tonight, early into PJs and Strictly - living the high life here :rotfl:
Edit: Ooh some financial news - interest of £12.92 credited to the current account. Yay!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Excellent news re. the driving.
However, I think you need something that rides a little smoother ... old XJ6 should be perfect.
All sounds like good news for your son, he will do well.I remember the ones from my senior school that were interested in gaining work experience / pupillages / internships in our last years there all ended up doing really well in their own right in later years. The rest of us that mocked them either grew up or are waiting for our inheritances.
Is your son still keen about potentially pursuing a PhD, or has he gone off that idea?
Did you ask for the name of the girl that the woman was looking for? All sounds a bit odd, especially if it's related to the bullying, as the girls may now know your address. I'd perhaps be thinking about informing the police.2018 totals:
