Thanks you lot - it's a relief to know and I can be pro-active now. Still need to book GP appointment - on the To Do list. Laughing at DFOD - ewww! Yoga and Pilates classes on at the new studio down the road at the pool...I'm in!
Hung out as long as possible for fuel, but filled up yesterday, spending £38.00 - touch of excitement for getting it to a round pound and not 1p over :rotfl: Last tankful lasted 6 weeks - pleased with that.
The change bucket has £1 in 2p's ready to be banked.
Busy couple of work days and school event tonight.
Forgot it was 1st October and hastily read the electricity meter - down 1 unit a day from last month, another to go to get back to last year's levels.
New month starts the usual DD exodus again - pension payment gone out. One nice surprise was ex has sent an additional £55 maintenance (£375 came in). Be lovely if that was an ongoing increase, but will wait and see. If it is, then I'll be putting more aside for DS's Uni fund than the current £100 into Reg Saver and £25 into his 3% account. It is for him after all and aside his expensive laptop requirements, reading book addiction and food consumption, he's really quite an economical child, if ever there were such a thing :rotfl:
Talking of DS, am having to go with him to/from bus stop again. Bullying been going on by girls from another school for the last few weeks apparently. Caught them red-handed by accident. Schools being dealing with but hadn't stopped it, so Police now involved and his school bus pick up point is being moved from tomorrow to hopefully take the opportunity away from the kids on the other side of the road. To see it escalate and watch his confidence plummet, sleepness nights and anxiety return is so disheartening. Furious, but keeping a calm facade.

I'd be the same with my kids.. I had horrible school days and desperately don't want my kids to experience that!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

:rotfl: Re. the bathroom. It's not something that really bothers me, I grew up in an ongoing renovation project so I suppose I know it can take a long time but eventually turn out really nice.
Glad to hear you've got answers, that must be a weight off your mind.
In this household £40 worth of petrol lasts two days if we're lucky. :rotfl:
Very sorry to hear about the issues with your son, could he walk to the bus with a friend?2018 totals:

Think i'd just go straight round to bullies house and confront the parents. Not sure i'd be able to cope with the delay, whilst seeing my child wilt. Its every parents nightmare thought and im dreading it happening to ours.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Whilst I do understand the sentiment I'm not really sure what that would achieve, to be honest.2018 totals:

Know what you mean SJ. Looks like the threat of prosecution by the Police, further action by their school, their parents involvement and the move of DS's pick up point have bought it to a halt. Hopefully that's the end of it, but keeping a close eye and met him tonight as their respective buses arrive quite close together. They were at least not waiting for him, unlike previous Fridays.
Mentioned it to the Manager at the local shop as well - they loiter there - she's looking at the CCTV and keeping an eye out in case they find another victim.
DS and his mate were both victims Alex so the bus stop move means they go in the opposite direction and don't have to go near the girls (or the shop, so good for their pockets).
Paid myself today :j and finances looking reasonably healthy, that is until I pay the CC bill, the architect and a new office invoice . Think I'll need to poach £1k from the savings pot.
Bank accounts checked
Freepostcodelottery checked
Inbox £s up at £7.74 - could do with completing some surveys or something to bolster that quicker
Qmee - picked up another 11p and pot up at 21p
Ordered contact lens solution via £co at a decent 15% cashback, so @ £7 if it tracks ok. Upped order to take advantage of the free delivery as well
Dinner is on, washing's on, bins emptied, towels changed, just a small matter of a weekly food shop to do tonight.
DS is tour guiding for school again tomorrow, then we're off to the ashes internment of my Great Aunt - going to drive it and pick Mum up en route. We have a back up plan in case I can't though.

I've got a spreadsheet (no surprise there
) that works out my tax/ni, expenses, etc and then a nett figure that is all mine
I take that amount - it's part of my home-made accounts package that tracks everything and means Year End is easy-peasy for me and tax return for the accountant. Usually am over by @ £50 a year for tax due, that's good enough for me and it earns a bit of interest too.
Like the need and double it idea...I ought to work out what that figure would be.
How do you do yours?Back on the DFW Wagon:
