SJ I think you've got that right, tends to be the way. at the house raids!

:rotfl: at the escaped sheep, DFOD!

A welcome uneventful but productive and sunny day today :) Did spend a bit though:

£10 on family Christmas cards, yes I have started!
£20 total on a mixture of toiletries, 2016 calendar, desk diary, dog treats and a few stocking fillers for DS

Also finished October birthdays with cards written and addressed, transferred birthdays over to 2016 calendar, cut the hedge, de-weeded/mossed another bit of the drive, got the housework done and DS all sorted for tomorrow. And relax :D

Back to routine tomorrow, though Springy to vets for his annual boosters so another spend @ £50 to come and probably a pack of squeaky balls for my sins :rotfl:

We live on a lovely estate with some big houses that are home to several drug dealers! So lots of security cameras and cars being parked in strange places (dealers trying to hide them from surveillance). We never really been sure what to make of it all and some of the neighbours are really concerned about burglaries etc... If anything i think we're a touch safer living next door to them though as i'm pretty sure they try not to bring trouble to their own doorstep, but i suppose only time will tell. The 5am house police raids are interesting to watch though...

Sorry, but I'm not sure how 'lovely' and 'living on the same street as several drug dealers' can go hand in hand? I can only presume you live in or on the edges of a large city, as I remember similar type things happening when I was at uni.

To be honest, where there's dealers, there's customers. ;)

If I'd bought Christmas cards in October, I'd call that eventful and buying / using a 2016 calendar with another 3 months to go...
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Should have all the Christmas stuff sewn up by end of November latest, Alex ;)

Mortgage interest letter arrived today and excitement as amount due is 1p less than they told me on the phone, which means 1p more was OPd :j. Small wins and all that :D

Booster for Springy was £40, left out Kennel Cough as friends happy to have them rather than them going to the farm kennels, not that we've any holidays planned for the forseeable.

Quieter for delivering work this week, but full steam ahead for the office move in at the weekend, so focussing on that.

All quiet on the extension plans front too.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked - TT bill paid on receipt with speedy discount, saving £2.91 and Child Benefit in
    - freepostcodelottery checked - 300 more P!necone sign ups available
    - Qmee - still at 21p in the pot
    - Inbox £s - up at £8.10

Yet to put the bins out for collection, but always seems to rain on a Monday night!

Look after the pennies and the pounds etc... I'm just too easily excitable :rotfl:

The glorified shed aka summer house arrived today :j Chosen classic cream paint for the main part, undecided on trim colour - got 2 testers drying but they're both bright  Think something a little more understated maybe required.

DD to DS's Reg Saver gone out - £1k in there now. 2 more months payments and it'll be heading to a Junior ISA for a few years.

Usual financials checked and another 7p in the Qmee pot.

Am itching to send more to the mortgage after more spreadsheet fiddling. But I've achieved 3 months shaved off this year, same as last year so shall be as patient as possible until settled in new office and extension news comes through.

Meanwhile, the Christmas list needs attention and a budget :)

Bank it soon and give that 4p a job :D

Well done on your Christmas pressies, I'll join the aimlessly wandering around crowd hoping something jumps out at me for a couple of people too :)

Just done a quick reccy in Sainsbobs for cheaper than Ald! items and spent £1.70. Looked at the YS meat but no real bargains and will need the large freezer soon for the big turkey. Nectar points up at £52.95 so they're ear marked for that :)

Great to get free stuff with the points :T Most of mine come from using a Sburys CC, though last year Nect@r surveys and Ads pushed it up to over £100 - not bad for not shopping in there much :)

My points will buy the big frozen turkey that will feed @ 20 of us for a family pre-Christmas lunch and some of the trimmings and desserts and the smaller turkey for Christmas Day. Bought extra matching table cloth and napkins in the half price sale in W!lkos last year. Just crackers to seek out a bargain on - usually half price early in the season in Debs or Dun3lm.
