It is, yes. Though the 5p laying at the bottom of the toilet pan in a department store... I left that well alone... :rotfl:

I'd have done likewise but only because 5p pieces are the devils work.
They're fiddly and too small. Although they are getting bigger......they no longer fit into my cash tin cash holder.

I go through loads of them every week, with group fees being £4.95. We collect them for charity - my chazzer box is up to £260 already this year which will go to the local hospice.

Actually, I probably would avoid toilet coinage. I'm not that hard up!!:rotfl:

I love seeing the monthly updates and I love doing mine too.

Such an achievement every month :)

I started last month keeping a running total in my very first post to look at in a couple of years time and feel smug.

Loving that idea. I can't believe how excited I get about making the payments :rotfl: and seeing how far I've come. From having debt from business start up and wondering how on earth the mortgage would ever get repaid to being ahead of myself. It's some journey!

First world problem of bank's phone number and account details are on one of my spreadsheets above 'Jan 14' which now means it's off screen as I'm scrolled across to this month :rotfl: . That tells me how far I've come.

Phone call made to them and interest should be £355.94 end of Sept. Hmm, I always wonder how they make it a few pence more than all the calculators!

    Hiya Sportypants :D !!

I've been a bit out of MSE for the last week with serious come and go internet issues from our new MSE provider (Virging on the Ridiculous!) Richard Branson needs to get his bum into gear I think.

Just catching up on your diary. Well.......my head is spinning! What a woman! If only I could get so active :o !!

Glad all going so well Ali. I really must try and achieve something too :(.

    Well done you!

Thank you - apart from giving the mortgage a Christmas present of a bonus last year, it's the highest payment I've sent yet, very much inspired and motivated by here.

Now seeing what I can achieve for end of September - initial spreadsheet fiddling is setting a goal of £1,160.

In garden news, the grass is fitted and aside from the bits and bobs (including fence and deck painting still!) it's finished :j:j I love it and dogs love it :).

No real money news today, though I've progressed Inbox P0unds up to £4.50 with a few surveys.

Hope everyone's having a good Bank Hols weekend :)

  • I must admit to a certain excitement as the 31st approaches.
A whole new opportunity to update signatures and fiddle spreadsheets as the 1st arrives.

This excitement is, of course, tempered by the bottom dropping out of the bank balance as a whole months worth of directs debits trash my attempts to stay solvent!!:rotfl:
