Two more off the To Do list today:

    - DS friend is coming over next week...at the moment for the day, it could turn into a sleepover or more likely a no-sleep stay over and food fest
    - Housework completed downstairs and upstairs still good - this is a rare occurrence. Washed paintwork and doors too. Floors already paw print covered, nothing the steam mop won't sort out in a jiffy.

Banked the £25 of coins, no TT today, tomorrow I'll bring the TT pot back to current account for Friday's payment. Fave post of the month when that goes and sig can be updated :D

Weekly food shop done with a spend of £36.36. Whilst I've bought food to feed the DIYers am not sure they'll be here all 3 days of the weekend with the forecast rain - least can freeze quite a bit of it.

Home office sort out is next..... :)

wow, what resourceful lads! Except for the roadkill though, not sure I could do that!
I think the road kill is loose change on the floor, not squished animals

It is, yes. Though the 5p laying at the bottom of the toilet pan in a department store... I left that well alone... :rotfl:

DFOD, I remember my Nan and Great Aunt regularly having rabbits hanging in the back porch and fresh pie or casserole from them.

Lovely bright and sunny morning here at the moment. Still a wet run with doglets as Springy lives for his daily mud-fest of swamp followed by swim in river and inevitable shake within 2 foot of anyone! Doodle is an on the spot prancer and mostly walks beside me.

Boiler service done and is in tip top condition for a 26 year oldie. £60 spent.

TT pot moved back to current account - £109.92 made up of:

    £20.16 Inbox P0unds
    £45.00 Change bucket coins
    £ 4.82 Cashback
    £ 9.00 P!necone surveys
    £ 0.73 Qmee
    £ 0.98 TTs
    £29.23 Interest/Account skim

Not too shabby :) Can't work out how I made it £125 but have set the payment up for £1125 anyway :rotfl:

Home office to sort, though those pesky driveway weeds are bugging me now :rotfl: If the weather stays dry and I get office sorted I might start attacking them a la GallyGirl's style :D

    Great overpayment!
When you've done your weeds pop round and do my front too please? please......
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Weeds pulled = 1 :rotfl: and that was from the back garden path en route to bin!

I'm struggling to work out the OP part of the payment. It's all capital so that's a good start :) Interest goes tomorrow but separately by DD (£359.39).

If it were a repayment mortgage and term kept the same, the payment would be £996.78 including interest (originally £1032.41) making the OP £484.14, but I've been basing OPs on the £1032, so £448.51. Which way is correct?

Either way, it all comes off the bottom line and I'll knock another month off the end date, taking it to 6 months early :j.

Home office nearly done, healthy salad for lunch before the inevitable cake baking and eating at the weekend :o

    Hiya Sportypants :D !!

I've been a bit out of MSE for the last week with serious come and go internet issues from our new MSE provider (Virging on the Ridiculous!) Richard Branson needs to get his bum into gear I think.

Just catching up on your diary. Well.......my head is spinning! What a woman! If only I could get so active :o !!

Glad all going so well Ali. I really must try and achieve something too :(.

Morning - Happy Mortgage Payment Day :j:j

£1,125 wholly capital payment gone to the Spanish Bank

    Scores on the doors:

    31/12/13 £133,444
    Last month £116,875
    This month £115,750
Paid off £17,694 in 21 months and up 12.42% to 13.26%

    Overpayment amount this month £448.51
    Overpayments to date £4,068.81

    Interest saved on term: £2,367.30

Ownership increases from 55.05% to 55.48% based on conservative value

Milestone - another month off the end date, taking 6 months off in total to March 2027 :j

Target still September 2022 with exactly 12 years left to run

Interest stats to follow next week once mortgage account is updated online by the bank, but daily interest should drop from £11.82 to £11.71

    Bricks coloured in...I have 3 spreadsheets.... :D

Edit: Mortgage is in 2 parts, both on 3.69% rate, so the £1125 is coming off the small one, taking it from £21,325 to £20,200. Larger one sits at £95,550

  • I love seeing the monthly updates and I love doing mine too.

Such an achievement every month :)

I started last month keeping a running total in my very first post to look at in a couple of years time and feel smug.
