Totally agree Thistle!
I leave things off the To Do list that are nigh on impossible to do in one go - weed and de-moss block paving that is 4 cars worth size  I've taken to pulling out a few of the larger ones as I come in and out the house!
DS wants to go to the early evening film showing, so now got the afternoon spare. Better make use of it and crack on, as tempting as it is to sit and spreadsheet fiddle
My front garden is same, block paved for four cars. At the beginning of the summer mum and dad spent a day clearing all the weeds with a hoe, within a week its regrowing - must remember to keep spraying it.HOME

How lovely of your parents to do that for you, it's a tough task. There's some new 'anti-weed' sand stuff out now - when I get round to doing it, going to get some of that and see if it works. Just don't want to waste money if it doesn't.
Good idea to blast with spray killer, that's something I could do - added to list :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

I too used spray killer. When the 'dead' weeds started to regrow I found myself saying 'no you don't you little f*ckers' and miraculously found the time to dig them out individually :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Achieved a few bits off the list today:
- Take DS to cinema - £8.50 spent and used voucher
- Organise DS's friend to come over - ball is rolling, date tbc
- DS's school kit and equipment checks done with new bag packed
- Downstairs housework partially done, might have got side-tracked by an afternoon nap
- usual financial checks done
Capital payment is going up again to £1,125 :j as DS was given 3 x £2 coins this morning, so I swapped those out and have £20 to bank. The elusive last 10p's needed to make £5 are in too, as is the latest £3 from P!necone.
DS found £12 in his old schoolbag....followers of my old DFW diary will already know this, but DS sells his knowledge at school for £1 a go to classmates who haven't done their homework and want his help. I'm not sure if I'm shocked, embarrassed or think he's entrepreneurial!Back on the DFW Wagon:

My DS2 struggled academically at school but showed entrepreneurial skills from the age of 10 by selling biscuits, chocolate and soft drinks to pupils and teachers. He would make £100+ a week!! Can't begin to tell you how many weekends we spent going to all the supermarkets/wholesalers to buy his stock as cheap as possible. Once we bought 10 boxes of 6 pack Chunky Kit- Kat's because the packets where on BOGOF offer. The checkout lady thought we were mad!! He kept a spreadsheet with all of his costs and profits. It was the only thing he enjoyed about school, he was known as the next Del Boy!! School turned a blind eye as it kept him out of trouble!! I was shocked at first when we found out what he was doing but that soon turned into great pride and I believe this has helped him to be what he is today, a successful businessman.0

DS is quite different out of the home now, but at least I know my moneysaving pep-talks have had an effect, just not quite how I expectedHe picks up roadkill in the playground too!
