Mortgage account not updated yet online so will check that again tomorrow for interest figures.

TT'd £1.03 to the holding pot. Should get @ £12 in bank account interest tomorrow to add.

Monthly use and pay off CC has rolled over, full payment set up for that.

Cleaned the decking which dried in time to get a coat of oil on it, cue a garage shelf shuffle to find it. Anti-slip stain also at the ready for later in week, but have ordered some more online as cheapest I can find it, so I've enough for 2 coats though weather forecast doesn't look favourable after tomorrow.

Think that's all the news here today. :)

    Evening Diary :)

Getting back into the swing of work, not quite so for getting up early. That'll be fun (not) on Monday morning when DS returns to school.

Decking stain arrived - I love Interl!nk's tracking system can see where the van is on a street map - a coat duly painted on and was thankfully dry before the rain arrived. Tested it's anti-slip properties and it works. Looks like new again too.

DS's friend could only stay until this evening, avoiding a sleepness overnight stay and friend's mum has become a friend over the years, so was lovely to sit and catch up over a cuppa when she came to pick up.

On the financials, bank account interest of £12.49 credited and moved to the TT pot.

Council has acknowledged pre-planning application for extension, site visit date to come.

Spanish Bank has updated online account with the capital payment, but not the next interest payment. Hoping it'll be done tomorrow.

T@lk T@lk email in about line rental going up by £1 a month from next month. Debating whether to lock into the 12 months pay in advance - hasn't been worth it since last one ran out iin Jan as get the 10% speedy discount for paying when bill arrives. Which reminds to log on as bill not arrived for this month as yet..which is late.

    And a NSD :j

Tomorrow it's a combo of work, food shop, fence panel painting (no excuses if a dry day :o ) and visit a friend.

Seems phone and internet have gone up substantially in the last couple of years even with shopping around, but can't do without the broadband so sucking it up for now.

Interest figure finally updated online :j so some stats to note.

    Dec 13 interest £410.34
    Last month - £359.39
    This month - £355.93

Reduction of £3.46 on last month, total reduction to date £54.41 per month.

Daily interest down by 11p a day to £11.71, was £13.44 in Dec 13.

    Mortgage parts:

    £20,200 - £62.02 p/m or £2.04 per day
    £95,550 - £293.91 p/m or £9.67 per day

First part is screaming to drop into the £1's next month - both capital and daily interest :j

Thanks DFOD. If I can manage £1160 capital at end of this month, it'll take another month off the term too.

Another P!necone prelim survey in and done, T@lk T@lk bill in and paid, saving £2.67 with the speedy discount and the food shop at Ald! done this morning - spent £29.97 and meal plan ready to rock. DS has finally eaten fish that he likes, so some YS smoked haddock (my fave) is being shared with him for dinner tonight.

Friday housey tasks under way and about to peg out with one eye on the looming dark clouds.

It rained yesterday so fence panels didn't get painted, but work stuff was productive. Wish the weather would work out what it's doing - dug out the jumpers now. Brrr. Which means a batch of cottage pies will soon be joining the freezer and the slow cooker will be making it's appearance on the worktop for 6 months :)

I've a cake to bake for the DIYers too. Where did 2 weeks R&R go? :rotfl:

  • Oooh cake baking, slow cooker, cottage pie... We had lamb casserole last night and it was phenomenal! I love the autumn food!

Love a good casserole or stew, especially with dumplings on top in the slow cooker. Yum.

Another weekend flown by, mostly doing garden stuff still and a spend of £10 on winter pansies - that's filled 4 baskets, 5 pots and 2 flower bags. £2.50 on a net of daff mix bulbs - I'll plant those this week. The border planting has grown well in just a few short weeks and looks like everything has taken root. I am chuffed :j

Work tomorrow for me and DS back to school which means early nights.

Not much else to report, financials all ticking along:

    - Inbox Pounds up at £5.44
    - Qmee up a tad to 27p
    - £20 in £1 coins now ready to bank for the TT pot

Should start seeing runs of NSDs again which will help the cause :)

All back into the old routines here, DS is getting a ton of homework already and work is slowing ramping back up for me.

Two NSDs achieved :j I've deliberately not TT'd anything else at the moment as with the move to the new office coming and associated costs, a bigger than usual CC bill all being paid next week and low income from being off, pennies are quite tight.

Not much else to report, still keeping up Inb0x £s and doing free things like 7 miles a night on the exercise bike - keeping me warm and the heating off :)
