hi, just delurking to ask have the feelings of being in control lead to your health improving? the reason for being so nosey is that having suffered from the effects of stress myself it is amazing the symptoms it can bring on.

Very true, ...perhaps he's making up for his youngster days, when 7-8 hrs was his best.eco_farmer wrote: »hi, just delurking to ask have the feelings of being in control lead to your health improving? the reason for being so nosey is that having suffered from the effects of stress myself it is amazing the symptoms it can bring on.

Good question and was trying to come up with a short answer :rotfl:. On balance, I'd say yes.
Hope you're not suffering at the momentBack on the DFW Wagon:

Hump day over, week is running away with busy days and evenings.
Still plodding away at the little earners:
- Inbox £s up at £6.51
- Qmee up at 44p
- £10 in 50p's reached - will bank those to the TT pot
12 days to MOP day and £1,160 is still in the budget, barring any major disaster/spend I'm weirdly looking forward to sending what will be my highest ever payment!Back on the DFW Wagon:

It's weird SJ, as I pick my 'pay myself day' and tend to manage it by my own month ends and having the 5k in my current account, pay day feels a bit of a non-event. Hmm...I really am not normal :rotfl:
Had a couple of hours spare in glorious sunshine this afternoon so started to attack the block paving - one car length/width de-mossed and weeded, only 3 to go  Would have made more progress but as is often the way with spending little time out the front, neighbours appear and chats ensue.
Another £3 winging it's way to me from another PC survey :j They just keep on coming

So...the spanner in the MOP plans arrived today in the form of the Planning Officer's visit...he say yes to the extension with just a 3ft inward adjustment to width and window placement advice
:j
In view of that it's full steam ahead and I'm going to divert most of the planned OPs to a new pot for it, but I'll round up mortgage payments anyway (might have noticed I like round numbers) to keep some OPs ticking away
Next steps from a process perspective:
- Officer goes on holiday for a week from tonight (great timing!)
- Writes report on return and sends to architect
- Architect amends drawings, gets my approval and submits for FPP, which is Officer Delegated and likely won't need to go to Committee
- Hopefully Approval given and work has to start within 3 years of approval date.
Excited :j So excited, I saved money by not doing the weekly food shop as was too busy fiddling with house drawings and internal layouts :rotfl: . An unexpected NSD!Back on the DFW Wagon:

All sounds very exciting. I'm looking forward to reading your build updates.
This may be someone else on MSE but IIRC you used to be quite into fast Fords? A car friend of mine has just bought a 2.8i Capri, yesterday I had a go in it and was rather impressed by how it drove. Never really been interested in them before but the carandclassic website is calling now.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Think that was someone else into the fast Fords Alex, but I do remember my younger days of my friends parents having a 2.8i Capri - great car
Could be a while before any building starts - late summer 2017 or Spring 2018 is most likely. Don't want to be doing it whilst DS is in the midst of GCSEs and don't think I'll have enough saved before then...depends on the costs which I'll get quotes on once tech drawings are done and how quickly I can save it
Finally got the food shop done at Ald! - £21.70 spent, that's better. Will start to aim to be within £100 a month.
Another batch of chilli made tonight, one for dinner and 6 for the freezer.
Washing all done and dried on line, turned out a lovely sunny day here so did the sofa cushion covers too. Pretty much ready for a houseful tomorrow, just going to iron a few things and put away then chill out for the rest of the evening.
Dogs have invaded the netting and borders today  fortunately plants are established well enough to have coped with them rambling through and over them. I think it's the nightly visiting hedgehog leaving a scent.
Hope everyone's having a good Saturday.Back on the DFW Wagon:
