Hi, I cant comment on Medic Animal or PetMeds but @Bazlol your vet should keep a record of the prescription so if you give them a ring they can give you a copy and you can source your dogs medication

I looked at vetuk website but unfortunately it doesn't have the dog food I need, and am desperate for,,due to Medic Animal grrrrr ...so found another company which have all the food my dog needs.. ,,( sorry Ashleigh I'm sure your site is good for medicines and some food .)..which are Pets at Home..hope that helps anyone else. Any credit card company should be able to help you make a claim if you havent' received your goods after 14 days,,that is what my credit card company told me...,

I placed over £160-worth via MedicAnimal and I'm hoping I can get that back! I'm currently in a queue with my bank to see what I can do. I got a confirmation email of my order but was trying to chase why I had had no dispatch notice. I then found the website down after trying the customer service number quoted in the email and then stumbled upon this thread. It was mildly amusing that the original site BestPet.co.uk then emailed asking for a review. I have left a scathing attack on their 'customer service', not that it matters now but it did make me feel marginally better. I hope we all get our money back. Good luck, all.

    *** UPDATE ***

MedicAnimal looks to be a trading name of Kokoba Ltd. I did some research and Companies House has them listed as:

    KOKOBA LIMITED
    5 NEW STREET SQUARE
    LONDON
    EC4A 3TW
    Company No. 06060026

(Text removed by MSE Forum Team)

The information was obtained from public facing websites. However, if I am breaking forum rules then I will happily remove this information if requested to do so.

I have back traced this with information held by the London Stock Exchange and CEO Email. I intend to give Mr Retzignac a piece of my mind for all the good it will do.

I'm sure those are some speculations, as you can easily check if a company has gone into administration and neither MedicAnimal nor Kokoba is as far as I can see insolvent or in administration yet!

So maybe just let them explain and don't trust competitor posts that much...guess a few dubious companies are trying to make profit out of this situation...seriously don't trust these posts for gods sake.

You created an account to post this?

How do you contact a company who have removed their website, don't answer the phone, etc?

The lack of response does lead to the conclusion that it has ceased trading. Pet Supermarket trades online so without a website they aren't trading.

Is there anyway of getting a definitive answer or do we have to wait for the receiver to make a statement if it has gone that way?

I have been told by the VMD that this company has gone into preadministration. I returned a package for a product that I did not want I was told by a girl named Rebecca that as soon as the package was received back to them they would issue a credit note, I told them I did not want a credit note, I wanted my money back. I have sent repeated emails, made telephone calls all to no avail.

Their website stated it was being updated. Phone messages were responded by answerphone that someone would contact them. All to no avail.

This company knew what they were doing, I consider this to be fraud.

Since they are or were a VMD accredited company, then I urge people to contact the VMD.

I have also contacted PAYPAL and they have taken up the case.

I have since got my product from 365VETS. They were extremely professional and could not have been more helpful. I sent my prescription in by post on Saturday and received the product on Wednesday.

I used to work for MedicAnimal a couple of years ago so still have a couple of previous colleagues on Facebook and confirm that they have gone into Administration.

Apparently they were awaiting a buyout/cash injection that fell through at the last minute (possibly due to some dodgy book cooking) and therefore had to go into administration.

Staff were greeted to locked doors on Friday and told they could collect belongings but offices would be closed until further notice.
