Something going on with Medicanimal.com??

I have been waiting for a week for dispatch notice from medicanimal but nothing. When I ordered I must admit I was a little dubious as I went through the bestpets.co.uk site and was redirected to medicanimals with a notice saying they had taken bestpets over. As I gad been using them for a while without any problems, I ordered. I had an email confirmation back pretty much straight away. But then nothing.
I'm pretty angry that the telephone message you get is just a message telling you to dial the extension you want. And as yet no response to my email. My bank wont do anything without proof that they've gone into administration , and a forum post from someone who used to work there is not sufficient. Any ideas what I can do?

I've used Medicanimal for a long time for my cat food as they have always been the best buy. Never any problems until now. I logged on to try and make an order last weekend, gave up after the website had been down for days and unable to contact by phone. Thank goodness I didn't order last week. I feel sorry for those out of pocket, you never know these days when a business is going down. I eventually made my order through Bitiba (I think they were perhaps formerly Zooplus?). They actually had my food on offer and delivery was quick and efficient. Good luck to those trying to get their money back.

As I understand it the administratior will assess the company finances and decide whether any part or all of it is viable.
The business could continue to trade under the administrator, all or part of it could be sold without the original company debts or it could be put into liquidation.

I have also had mega problems with MedicAnimal. Placed order on 28 July, didn't come within time they said. Have been trying to reach them - same problem with phone, recorded message, no company name, says to dial extension number you want then cuts off. Same thing happens if you dial 0844 number given in directory enquiries for Kokoba, which is their company. If I try and do LiveChat on website, it says 'go away we are busy' and I can't get any reply to emails. They have my money and I don't have their goods. I am about to call my credit card company to see if anything funny is happening. It all feels very dubious. I have gone round in circles trying to contact them. Everything has gone wrong since they took over from BestPet, where everything worked brilliantly.

Bitiba is owned by Zooplus - it doesn't carry all the products that Zoo+ does but they are generally slightly cheaper

I'm an affiliate of Medicanimal, Bestpet and Pet Supermarket. These are all owned by Medicanimal. I market their products using Affiliate Window. I had an email today asking me to remove all links from my website as Medicanimal is having problems with their website! I had already removed the links on Saturday as Wikipedia reported that they had gone into administration. The entry has now been amended to say 'The websites for Medicanimal, Pet Supermarket and Bestpet Pharmacy have been unavailable since the 31/07/2015.'
Some people have been reimbursed by their banks. One person said that Medicanimal have taken £300 from her account and she hasn't pruchased anything.

I too unfortunately have fallen victim of Medicanimal. Ordered on 29th July, so am peeved that I didn't get my order if they didn't cease trading until the Friday. I still need catfood for my cats but am too nervous to order from another online company now. So have been to Petsathome. Not so cheap, but this way I actually have the product in my hand. Ironically I only went online to order worming granules, but then saw some good deals on the dry cat food. Now I know why. Wish I had just stuck to the worming granules, then I would only be £2.70 out of pocket and not £22.

I feel duped too - I got an email on the 27th offering a really good price on the dog food I buy, in the past they have been reliable, glad I only ordered the one bag.

I use Zooplus sometimes and they're excellent. I've had some really good deals on dog food.
